Review Summary

Overall, La Cage is described as a bustling sports bar with big screens and a lively atmosphere that many patrons enjoy for game nights. Service is praised by some for friendliness and attentiveness, especially when handling allergies or large groups, but others report slow, uneven service, long waits for drinks and the bill, and occasional miscommunications about payment. Food ranges from solid to good but not consistently memorable, with some dishes highlighted like burgers and the salmon tartare while others are criticized as overpriced, overly salty, or underseasoned, and at least one order arrived undercooked. Pricing is often noted as high for the quality, with beers and certain items feeling pricey. A QR code or app ordering system is a recurring theme, with some appreciating the convenience and others frustrated when phones are unavailable or data is limited. The space works well for watching sports, with large crowds during big games, and staff are described as helpful and friendly, though the experience can vary by night. Accessibility varies by visit too, with some finding parking easy and the metro nearby, while others find parking challenging.

Food quality is mediocre at best - it is just not worth the price.

1) 33 bucks for peppercorn sauce steak - perhaps the worst steak of my life. All the things that were wrong with it:
- it was lukewarm (ew!)
- not seasoned enough
- did not have the'smoky' flavor
- was very hard to cut + chew.
- Fries that came with it were soggy & extremely salty.

2) 29 bucks for salmon tataki - fish was way too salty for my partner's taste.

3) MOST IMPORTANT THING - the beers! I found they tasted great - but it took forever to bring them to our table (even though we ordered them right away). To give you a better idea of a waiting time - they came 1-2 mins before food! & that is for a sports bar setting ;0 Our server asked if all is good with our meal by the time we were half finished with it. Again, that is a very long wait time based on my experience.

4) As for the atmosphere - The floors were very dirty - popcorn droppings everywhere. Also I found there were too many kids on that particular evening.

We visited as a large group, with more than 10 kids. One member of the staff was able to single handedly manage all of our individual orders while handling the kids & making sure they got everything they needed. She was really amazing & mentioned that she has prior experience with handling large groups of kids as a swimming instructor. Food was great, & the place has large screens which are perfect to watch sports games. Definitely coming back.

It was average I can see that they are big fans of hockey since they play it on the tv so often. I did not really like the food honestly she gave my son the big format of cheese ravioli but he wanted the one on the kids menu & I paid extra also he did not get his ice cream which he was really sad about. I would rate the costumer service an 4/10 they just come up & ask you what you want to eat. The only good thing is the Pina colada

Clean & kid-friendly sports bar. The food is good. Crispy wings, good burgers, hot fries, ... Decent choice of draft beers. The service is good every time we go! The atmosphere changes whether sports events are going on or not but even when nothing is on, they play highlights & it becomes the perfect place for lunch or even a relaxed first date.
