A totally fine sports bar. Free popcorn which is a nice touch but if you sit at the bar you barely get any refills on the popcorn. Slightly overpriced but not terrible.View more

Cocktails & atmosphere were great, but if you're looking to watch any sports it is only in French. Sorry but being from Alberta, this is a big downfall. Considering we made a reservation early to watch a western conference final game of the Stanley cup & they said they would play the sound & we only spoke English, they should have advised us it would be broadcasted only in French.
English speaking individuals should know this fact before attending any sporting event at this establishment.View more

Came to watch Stanley Cup playoffs . It was in French here. Very annoying when no French team in the playoffs. Everyone there probably speaks English yet they refuse to play it in English . Yet all other sports bars played the games in EnglishView more

From the moment I walked into La Cage au Sport, I was met with excellent service that truly elevated my dining experience. The staff was welcoming, friendly, & attentive from the start. I was promptly greeted & seated, & my server made sure I felt comfortable while offering great recommendations from the menu. The service was seamless, with drinks & food arriving quickly, & everything was exactly as I ordered. The team's professionalism & positive attitude were consistent throughout my visit, making me feel valued as a customer. It's refreshing to see a restaurant where customer satisfaction is clearly a priority. I highly recommend La Cage au Sport for its top-notch service & enjoyable atmosphere. It's a sport bar restaurant. At the entrance they gave us free pop corn, a nice touch. We tried white sangria & cage blonde beer with onion soup & steak frites. The onion soup crotons has too much butter flavor but overall the soup was great. The steak was too raw & we asked to cook a little bit & no problem at all. Our server was so kind & friendly. Nice place with big screens with sport channel & inside the mall.View more

All in all, not a bad experience. If you're interested in a quaint Montreal experience, this isn't for you. It looks like every other upscale sports bar. But that was fine for us. Grab a basket of popcorn for starters. Then we had a couple beers & ordered a bacon, sausage & onion pizza (pidzz). It was pretty good. Service was good but the bartenders were running around like crazy.View more

I was pretty impressed with this Sports Bar to say the least as it's not a type of place I'd usually go to when visiting Montreal but I was pleasantly surprised as we were a pretty large group & wanted to watch some Euro Cup Soccer. The place was very spacious with plenty of seating inside & nice patio as well. They had some nice large screens as well to enjoy your sporting event of choice. Our server Ariana was awesome made our experience fun & enjoyable to say the least. The food & drinks were way better than what I was expecting & the prices were reasonable too. The $3 shot special was the highlight & we took full advantage of that which made things even funner lol. The Nachos, Wings & Club Sandwich were awesome so I'd definitely recommend those from the menu. Because we had a great time I'd definitely recommend to give them a try here as I'm sure we'll return again someday when we visit beautiful Montreal in the future.View more

Just a couple of blocks off of St.Catherine's St & at the mouth of the entrance for Complexe Desjardins mall, La Cage is the hockey-themed sports bar you've been looking for. You're greeted by nice hosts where you can choose their outdoor patio or indoor table seating, & service was well staffed & our waiter was awesome cuz he genuinely cared that we were taken care of. We enjoyed the full rack of ribs for its value but the sauce was quite weak & meat a tad dry. The mash potato & Caesar sides hit the spot, the molten lava cake that comes with lots of hazelnuts is excellent. The Caesar drink was too salty. There isn't a bad seat in the house with so many screens in every angle. Go Oilers.View more
