Nous sommes y allés entre amis. Une d'entre nous avait une allergie sévère au crevette. Le resto frit les crevettes & les frites dans la même huile, donc elle n'avait pas d'autres choix d'accompagnement que la salade césar ou un Mac & cheese. Elle a pris le Mac & cheese qui s'est avéré, trop cuit & gluant. En fait, ça avait l'air de pâtes au Cheese Whiz. On lui a chargé un extra de 4-5$.
Pourquoi ne pas frire les crustacés séparément? Il me semble que ce serait la moindre des choses, car quand quelqu'un est traité comme ça, ça
ne donne pas le goût à personne de revenir. Grande déception. Dernière visite!!!

I ordered the cheese bacon burger & loved it. Please please please come to Ontario!!! We need high quality burger places here badly. I visit the area often for business so The Belle & La Boeuf will be my new go-to place for dinner.
Ok now the critical part..... the fries. I ate a few of them then gave up. Please try to get authentic steak style thick cut fries not these bland Kelseys/Montana's types. Next time I'll get a salad as a side instead. Reason for 4 stars not 5. Also the waitress was great.
Honestly I find the burgers here to be pretty so-so. The most recent time I came I got the mushroom burger. It didn't have much flavor or sauce. So it kinda just tasted like eating plain ground beef. I've also had the cheeseburger with bacon & it was just fine. I've had much better burgers for less money. I also got a mojito which was good & pretty strong.
Great place to enjoy delicious burgers on St. Catherine in Montreal. Atmosphere is great & service was attentive. Many options of burgers & other items. The double smash burger with cheese, bacon & grilled jalapenos was delicious. The side salad was great alternative to fries, but the house fries & sweet potato fries were delicious as well.

Nice staff & good atmosphere. We got greeted with a smile from the hostess as soon as we walked in, so it is a very good first contact. Our server was also very friendly & attentive! The food quality was half & half, my partner ordered the grilled cheese which he loved, & said that it was one of the best in town… I cannot say the same for the salmon tartare which was bland! I hesitated between the beef & the salmon, but they ran out of beef (a bit strange for a restaurant under the brand « la belle & la boeuf »)… I guess? Either the salmon tartare was prep in advance or they should look into improving the recipe, because it was not at all what I would expect from a restaurant. The drinks were good especially the mocktail. We will go back to try other items on the menu, & hope that they will have what is listed there…
I'm not going to lie. I have mixed feelings about this place. One one had their food is on point, huge variety of food options. I've always wanted to try a huge burger with multiple layers, I didn't even know i could have it in there. When I was there, I got a chili Mac'n'cheese, it's not quite what I expected. Undercooked pasta, not enough cheese, & portions were on the smaller end. Next time, if I take something different, I might change my opinion. Other than that, if there's anything better than the ambiance, it's the service. Helpful waitresses, water was always on time. Very good. Would recommend.

I loved this place. I can see how some people say its overrated & over priced & I agree. But I loved my burger & my boyfriends too.
I got the Captain Flam (monterrey jack cheese, caramelized onions & bacon) my boyfriend got the Le Boeuf (basically nachos in a burger). I thought both were amazing. Big portions, super juicy & tasty. I will for sure go back to try the Cochon one!
The inside was very cool, huge wall full of books, & huge bar, beautiful! Though we ate outside.
Bad points: Services was not very experienced... my waiter looked in a hurry & annoyed... I don't blame him the place was PACKED. Expensive burgers, expensive hipster drinks in mason jars. Last thing... i got mine wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, I was surprised to see that costed me 1$ extra... at least mention it on the menu if you're going to do that.
I'm still going back anyway.
J'étais passée plusieurs fois devant l'enseigne de La Belle & la Boeuf sans jamais pourtant oser y entrer. Donc, j'ai pris mon courage à deux mains & j'y suis allée en après-midi en ayant une grande faim.
Pour pleinement apprécier La Belle & la Boeuf, il faut y aller le soir entre amis. Parce que l'après-midi, ce restaurant est presque vide & pas très bien éclairé. En contrepartie, le service est très courtois & efficace.
La Belle & la Boeuf est surtout connu pour son menu varié & créatif sur la poutine, les mac'n'cheese &, leur spécialité, leurs délicieux hamburgers. La viande est tendre & juteuse & les saveurs exotiques nous mettent facilement l'eau à la bouche. Seul inconvénient : les plats sont un peu chers.
Mais en général, j'ai bien apprécié & y retournerais sûrement, cette fois avec desamis & de la famille le soir.
