Sat out on the patio , the food was amazing , I really enjoyed my smoke meat club sandwich. Plus the fries were fresh & not frozen . Our server was amazing & the food served promptly. Would definitely go back here next time I am in Montreal

If you're looking for a classic comfort food with a twist, La Baraque Resto Bar hits the mark. This cozy restaurant serves up a selection of dishes, but two standouts from the menu for us are their Hamburger La Baraque & Smoked Meat Sandwich.
The patty of the burger is juicy, well-seasoned, & cooked to perfection. It's got that classic grilled flavor, but it's not overly greasy. The bun is soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together-no soggy mess here. What sets this burger apart is the toppings: fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, mushroom & peppers that balance the richness of the beef. The fries on the side? Perfectly crispy, golden brown, & seasoned just right.

Now, let's talk about the Smoked Meat Club. If you're a fan of tender, smoky meat, this is the dish for you. The meat is infused with a rich, smoky flavor that's downright tasty!

We are so glad that we stumbled upon this restaurant! We had a delicious lunch at a reasonable price for great portion size. The staff was friendly & helpful. We enjoyed freshly made Montreal meat club sandwich, & a Montreal poutine. Absolutely delicious! We would recommend & hope to have lunch again during a future visit.

The lady serving us was very nice & friendly & polite. The sandwich was a bit on the average side but the lemonade was absolutely delicious. Music was always playing & there were disco lights on. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Located in Old Montreal, eating on the patio seemed like a part of the experience. Food was good, I had the poutine & smokes meat sandwich. It was pricey for the type of food, but expected given the prices in the area. Like I said, all part of the experience.

We were lucky enough to have found this hidden Gem in Montreal.
Absolutely by far the best Poutine I've ever had! The club sandwich was also delicious!
Great Service, great food & friendly atmosphere. Not to mention, the most amazing home made gravy!!!
It's a MUST TRY!!!!!
Ask for Jean! He was a sweet & plaseant man!!!
Thanks again & we can't wait to make this our go to place while visiting Montreal!!!!
