Pretty good but had way better Japanese food somewhere else. The chocolate matcha cake doesn't taste matcha at all, had to ask for extra matcha syrup...View more
On a adoré le Kyo! Nous sommes allés 4 adultes dans le cadre de MTL à table & nous y retournerons pour le menu régulier assurément! Tout était frais & le service de notre serveur a été plus qu'impeccable!View more
Un bon restaurant avec des assiettes gourmandes & esthétiques. Victime de son succès, il est assez bruyant & le service est un peu long. Tarif assez élevé.View more
Excellent!!! J'ai été pour MTL à table! It was amazingView more
Probably the best sushi I've ever eaten! Their wings were delicious as well!View more
View more
Great location in Old Montreal. Excellent food sub par service, & needs more fresh air inside Food: got the wagyu gyoza - excellent, fried chicken appetizer - also excellent, sushi rolls were fine Service: kinda rushed, & distracted Atmosphere: ventilation is low, feels like a pub Overall food being good makes up for a lot of soft pointsView more
Had a wonderful experience at Kyo Bar japonais! The food was fresh, beautifully presented, & full of authentic flavors, so well-prepared & delicious. A special shoutout to Jacob, our waiter, who truly elevated our dining experience. He was friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations that we loved. His service added a personal touch to the meal. It's definitely a place to revisit if you're looking for great Japanese cuisine with excellent service!View more
Good meal with tasty sushi & maki options but the sashimi was underwhelming.View more
First time - Amazing food & service thank you. Kyo is definitely in our top mtl m restaurant now.View more
This place is great. Food tasted fresh & delicious. Wait time & timing between starters & main dish was perfect. Staff & atmosphere were lively. We ordered salmon poke bowl, sashimi salad bowl & makisView more
Excellent restaurant! Didn't have a reservation, but was seated immediately (18:30, mid-October). Staff were very friendly, & explained menu & suggested correctly how much food was the right amount. I had three plates, as suggested, for just me (solo traveller) & that was just right. Chicken Karage was lovely, vegetable roll was great & the snake roll (tuna) was delicious. Good range of cocktails, & nice sake on offer. Would definitely recommend.View more
They sell you experience rather than food, It is worth for one time, but for second time, hmmm, I don't think so. It is overpriced honestly!View more
Tasty & authentic with nice presentation, good service. Somewhat pricey. Our sushi & miso soup were all good; however I was disappointed my sushi actually contained fake crab. Not what I expect for these prices. They tell you when you arrive that they have small plates meant for sharing. I think they have small plates meant for spending more money. We left hungry just because we didn't want to spend that much.View more
Had the 15pcs chefs suggestion Maki. The choices were delicious & flavors were not overwhelming. It was walking distance from the Notre Dame Basilica.View more
Nice place, great service - just didn't love what we ordered. Gyozas were great but we didn't love any of the three sushi rolls we got which is unusual as we are adventurous diners. One of the rolls with crab was particularly fishy in taste & the tempura wasn't crunchy in any of them when it got to our table. I would stick to the classics maybe? Not sure. 🤔View more
This was an absolute fine dining experience which was a must. It's located at a great spot pretty close to the basilica & core area. Me & my friend ordered the yakitori, beef sushi & curry katsu which were all delicious & fresh. 100% recommend this to anyone wanting some good Japanese food in Montreal.View more
