Les meilleurs sushi mangé depuis très longtemps. Frais & délicieux. Service excellent. Très bruyant toutefois, mais normal pour un samedi soir. Beau décor chaleureux. Recommendé à 100%!View more

Great service, shiitake mushrooms were my favorite dish of the meal. Sashimi were very thick pieces & delicious. Had a very nice Nikka whiskey as well.View more
The food & the services was both great & had a great time ❤️ here's what we ordered . Wakame Huitres fraiches Takoyaki Salmon spring roll Taiheiyo Rainbow Hot hakutsuru, junmai 300ml There was not one thing that wasn't worth. The ambiance was cozy & inviting, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was bursting with fresh flavors, & the presentation was spot on. Their [specific dish] is a must-try!View more
The tempura & shishito peppers were good, though the tempura could be plated in a way that doesn't let them get soggy. The pork belly was fine - a bit too sweet for my taste & would perhaps benefit from being cooked longer so the fat is more melt in your mouth. The yaki udon wasn't my favourite - the sauce was quite rich & overpowered ingredients I normally like (e.g. shemeji mushrooms)... The udon noodles were a bit overcooked as well. I think this dish would be better suited with rice.View more
Good service experience here along with a great atmosphere in downtown Montreal. However, the food & drinks were quite overpriced & the quality was not there for me unfortunately.View more
I had the pleasure of dining at Kyo Bar Japonais last night, & I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm & inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. The decor was sleek & modern, with a beautiful bar area where we enjoyed watching the skilled chefs prepare our meals. The service was top-notch, with friendly & attentive staff who were happy to answer all our questions about the menu & make recommendations. & speaking of the menu, the selection of sushi & Japanese dishes was impressive, with something for every taste & preference. What really impressed us, however, was the quality & presentation of the dishes. Each plate was carefully crafted to be both visually appealing & delicious, with garnishes & sauces added with flair. It's clear that the chefs at Kyo Bar Japonais are passionate about their craft & take pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen. Overall, I would highly recommend Kyo Bar Japonais to anyone looking for an exceptional sushi experience. The combination of great food, excellent service, & stylish atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination for foodies & sushi lovers alike. We can't wait to come back & try more of the menu! *Recommended for:* Sushi lovers, foodies, special occasions, date nightsView more
Dined alone on Christmas Eve & tried the $95 Christmas menu. While I was expecting traditional Japanese cuisine, the dishes turned out to be a delightful fusion of Japanese & French styles. Surprisingly, the flavors were excellent-refreshing & well-balanced. Since I had to drive, I didn't order any alcohol. The service was attentive, & I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy & inviting atmosphere.View more
We went for the Christmas menu. It was $95 for 6 courses: the best I've had as far as holiday menus go. The food was overall pretty good - the oyster, sashimi, maki, & sirloin were mouthwatering, but the sides of the main dishes (4th & 5th) were too heavy yet took up half the plate. The server took the time to explain each dish. The portions were so generous that I couldn't even finish the last 2 courses! Service was very friendly. They ensured we were having a good time without being overbearing. We will be back to try the regular menu for sure.View more
Food was delicious overall. My family is Japanese & some of the items were modified to fit the local palate. Example, Karaage was not battered & fried & yakitori was sized triple the typical izakaya yakitori…typical Japanese food made by non Japanese & for different customer base. Otherwise, it was fine. Our expectation was much different that's all. I guess the izakaya thing threw us off expecting something we'd find in Japan. lol.View more
