Located in Old Montreal under the magnificent Hôtel Place d'Armes, the Kyo takes us on a journey into a relaxed but lively atmosphere that reminds us of the conviviality of Japanese culinary traditions. Had an amazing dinner here for a bachelorette event! The ambiance was super lively. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was so funny, kind, & went above & beyond to make sure we had a great evening. The food was delicious; we really enjoyed the variety & creativity of the menu (especially the mocktails). Highly recommend for a great dinner with friends or for a nice date! :)View more

Went for an anniversary dinner while visiting montreal & the food was phenomenal! We got three dishes & loved all of them, especially the pork belly & katsu curry. The matcha sphere dessert was our favorite, so much so we went again a couple days later. They also gave us the yuzu doughnuts to celebrate which was very kind & while it wasn't something we were considering to order it was super tasty!View more

Ordered the Kamikaze. Fantastic roll. The salmon is buttery & soft, the avocado was dense & ripe. There was roe in the roll that added a popping, fun texture. The service was great to boot!View more

Nice atmosphere. We had the wagyu gyoza & shrimp tempura to start, both were good. The chefs sushi selection was nice. We also had the udon noodles, it was okay but the chicken was difficult to eat/not tender.View more

Nous avons commandé 3 plats, des crevettes frits, de la pieuvre frit, & un plateau de 16 sushis. Les crevettes étaient molles & n'avait pas bon goût, la pieuvre était surprenante mais baignait un peu trop dans la sauce à mon avis. & enfin les sushis du chef n'avait rien d'incroyable & il nous a été difficile de demander l'explication de ce qu'il y avait dedans. Le problème : le prix ! 90$ pour celà & rien que 51$ pour si peu de sushi… je mange régulièrement dans des restaurants japonais & autant dire que celui ci est à rayer de votre liste.View more

The sushi rolls were very very average & disappointing in our opinion. We got the chef's choice for the rolls thinking that it would be something special but the rolls were very average & over priced. However, maybe this place mostly specializes in sushi & not the rolls.View more
