Don't miss the tuna tataki or the calamari - squash croquettes were awesome too. We'd go back for sure. Service was fine, but didn't quite live up to the food.View more
Excellent service. The food was good overall, but the sushi could be fresher.View more
Enjoyed our dine in for the evening. A place I'd visit every now & then, not regularly due to price. Is portioning justified? Probably not. The quality makes up for it in terms of its uniqueness. Gyozas texture seem to be deep fried; gives a good Crisp & the filling is very flavourful. The kamikaze rolls are perfection. Rolled & tucked neatly. Not filling is dropping out as I eat. Solid rolls. I had a ta taki beef aswell; it's pretty good. Tender & not so chewy. Garnished nicely & pairs well with the sauce beneath it.View more
Merci, continuer !View more
Beau resto, belle ambiance. Dumplings : excellents.View more
View more
Hit or miss but when it's good it's really good. Recommend the snake roll, rainbow, gyoza, agadashi tofu, & yaki udon.View more
Although the prices are high, the sashimi is not fresh! Will not return.View more

As someone who has been in the hospitality space for 25 years & have travelled all over trying amazing food, i feel like I am tough critic. Itbisbrare for me to post a review unless the experience was incredible or horrible. My dining experiences last night at Kyo on place d'arms was perfection. The ambiance, the lighting was perfect, the music was not only great but at the perfect level, the vibe & energy of the room & the staff was on point. Our waiter was amazing & his service cannot be overlooked. The food however. Wow. Easily one of if not the Asian meals I've ever had. Not a single dish was left unfinished & not a single dish was less than amazing. Before ng from Toronto we have a lot of options of great places & it seems almost weekly we get a new restaurant to try. But you come to Montreal & you get reminded that Toronto's food scene is still growing & searching for that identity whereas Montreal you can literally walk into a random place like we did last night & be blown away time & time again. Montreal is so overlooked & i put it right up there with new York. My experience at Kyo reminded me of this & gave me a reason to come back. I definitely have another go to spot. Well doneView more
View more
Love this place. Good food, nice staff & atmosphere. You should try the shrimp ebi mayo & the rolls snake & the rainbow. Chicken gyosa is also delicious.View more
View more
The food was amazing, nothing bad to say about it. I would love to eat it again. The service sucked hard. Don't expect to get your food in any kind of reasonable time. 45 minutes for 2 meat sticks... over an hour for a rainbow roll that we ended up canceling. To be fair our waiter was good. He was accommodating, but he had to constantly apologize for the kitchen & sushi bar's disorganization.View more
So fresh & delicious! We had a great time having special & authentic food.View more
