We went in for bite to eat & based on our servers's recommendation ordered tofu & chicken karaage. Both the dishes were good specially the chicken karaage. The meat was cooked perfectly & the crispness on the batter was exceptional. Definitely a must try when in town! It is a bit pricey for Japanese Tapas bar.View more

What an excellent Japanese restaurant. I was extremely surprised with the level of quality of their food. The atmosphere & service was excellent, big shoutout to our server Juena, she was great! Highly recommend the chefs assorted maki. All the food options are meticulously plated & always fresh. Will definitely visit again!View more

Honestly, I was disappointed. Overall they have 4.5 stars right now, so as a first timer you have high expectations, but the sushi was just not that good. The service was very good though. My friend had the chicken karaage & apparently it was great. There are 5 star reviews & then there are 1-2 star reviews. I think there's a blend of low standard people & others who have had authentic & fine dining japanese/food, who expect high quality. As someone who's been trying a lot of restaurants in Montreal, this one was definitely disappointing. Recommend for those who aren't picky/have low standards.View more

Excellent place with a no-fuss menu of amazing Japanese & fusion food fare. My favourite was the maguro 🍣 tuna tataki with jalapeño. The salmon tataki with apple pieces was also very nice but not as memorable. A nice portion of the miso soup with fragrant mushrooms & the edamame beans cooked perfectly with a dash of sea salt. Then a tall glass of Sapporo.
Big shoutout to my server Megan for her attentiveness: I wanted to make a few hand roll wraps with the tataki so asked for a bowl of rice & some seaweed sheet. She easily accommodated both & I really enjoyed them. I definitely recommend this place.
Feedback: please add a chirashi dish to the menu or just make one up if asked (you have all the ingredients!).View more

A lovely place in the Old Port which serves authentic Japanese food. The waiter was very kind & the decor was nice. The sushi was a bit disappointing but all the other Izakaya dishes were superbe.
