Review Summary

Reviews describe Kutum Montreal as a warm, family-run Bengali French fusion spot with a cozy, inviting vibe and a welcoming patio. The menu stands out for creative twists like tacos and naan pizza, tapas, shakshuka, beef and chicken platters, and a pistachio Nutella latte that many call memorable. The atmosphere, music, and attentive service contribute to a relaxed dining experience, with praise for the halal-friendly concept and the care put into blending Bengali flavors with French and other influences. While most comments are glowing about flavor and presentation, a few note occasional seasoning issues, longer waits on some dishes, or certain items feeling a touch salty or underseasoned. Overall Kutum Montreal is seen as a must-try neighborhood gem that offers flavorful, distinctive dishes, a personal touch from the owners, and a charming, homey ambiance.

Uniquely amazing Bangla fusion food! We had their tapas & brunch, & both were delicious. Friendly & nice staff.

Kutum is such a hidden gem in Montréal! The Best & ONLY Bangladeshi Fusion restaurant in Canada! The food is flavorful & creative, blending Bengali spices with fun twists like naan pizza, tacos, & brunch plates. The atmosphere feels warm & welcoming-clearly a family-run place with a lot of heart. The owners are a friendly young passionate couple, they checked on us making sure everything is okay. Can't wait to go back to try their brunch menu!

Kutum is owned by an adorable couple. It is the first Bangladeshi fusion restaurant in Montreal. Rich bangladeshi flavourful with a twist. The variety in their menu including their hot drinks were very interesting! The food was great so was the atmosphere. Pet friendly terrace was a plus for us! We will be back for brunch soon!

I had the opportunity to visit'Kutum' few weeks back. My friend & I were craving Bangladeshi brunch & we decided to try'Kutum'. It a Bangladeshi fusion restaurant & if you want to try fusion food with authentic Bangladeshi touch, then this is the place. Please, don't confuse it with Indian food. Bangladesh is a country with a rich culture & flavourful unique cuisines!! If you are up to trying Bangladeshi flavours, then kindly visit'Kutum'. It's run by an amazing Bangladeshi young couple. Hats off to them for taking such unique initiative. Keep it up 🤗

Service & atmosphere was there but the food was super bland. Honestly I could make better brunch items at home, not worth it.

Went here for brunch & was disappointed. The food lacks flavour, & the ingredients used are old. The salad had an old cucumber which was transparent, so I know it's not fresh. Was expecting actual fusion but this place is not it!

Reply to the owner, I have eaten all over the world & I was expecting something with a kick (being a fusion resto)... you guys did not deliver. That's all I'm saying, I understand not everyone has the same taste but like I make better food bruh. The reply is late cause I be out eating out all day everyday, good luck on your resto tho!

This is a fusion Bengali restaurant & it definitely exceed their goal in delivering a tasty & unique offering. It will taste familiar to Bengalis while also having that flavour balance we expect from fusion cuisine. I recommend their tapas & tacos. We plan on trying their brunch too.

Absolutely loved everything about this new restaurant! The decor is rustic, cozy & instagrammable, the food is cooked with love & the service is top notch! Most importantly, their attempt at Bangladeshi cuisine with the stylings of Spanish tapas & french brunch dishes, absolutelt landed for me. Particularly, the chicken hearts tapas dish took me straight back to the 90s, enjoying mom's cooking in the family dining room. Afsara & Anabail are doing a wonderful job bringing the tastes of their culture to the Montréal gastronomy scene & their passion & sincerity is apparent in every morsel on the plate.

I was visiting from Toronto with friends from Bangladesh & was intrigued by the Bengali fusion concept. We stopped in for brunch on Saturday & were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly owners, Aunabil & Sara. They went out of their way to customize the dishes for us, & everything-from the shakshuka & poached eggs to the chicken & shrimp platter-was absolutely phenomenal. A must-visit spot for both locals & tourists alike!

Was super excited to find a Bengali fusion restaurant just a few blocks from me! So far I've tried one of the naan wraps but will be going back for the brunch menu 🤤
