Located in Montreal’s vibrant Plateau Mont-Royal, Kutum is proud to be the first Bengali fusion restaurant in both Montreal and the province of Quebec. Female-owned, family-run, and South Asian, we bring heart, heritage, and bold flavours to every plate.
Our menu blends the rich traditions of Bengali cuisine with creative international influences. Whether you're on a date, with friends, family, or dining solo, our spacious terrace and warm atmosphere make Kutum the perfect place to eat.
Reviews describe Kutum Montreal as a warm, family-run Bengali French fusion spot with a cozy, inviting vibe and a welcoming patio. The menu stands out for creative twists like tacos and naan pizza, tapas, shakshuka, beef and chicken platters, and a pistachio Nutella latte that many call memorable. The atmosphere, music, and attentive service contribute to a relaxed dining experience, with praise for the halal-friendly concept and the care put into blending Bengali flavors with French and other influences. While most comments are glowing about flavor and presentation, a few note occasional seasoning issues, longer waits on some dishes, or certain items feeling a touch salty or underseasoned. Overall Kutum Montreal is seen as a must-try neighborhood gem that offers flavorful, distinctive dishes, a personal touch from the owners, and a charming, homey ambiance.
Absolutely loved this place! It's a Bengali fusion spot, & they've really leaned into the fusion aspect in a creative & refreshing way. I tried their Nutella latte which was super smooth & indulgent without being overly sweet. The real stars, though, were the tacos. I had both the shrimp & chicken tacos, & each bite was packed with flavour. The shrimp was perfectly spiced & juicy, & the chicken had just the right balance of heat & texture.
The large patio was such a vibe, great for hanging out & enjoying the food in a laid-back setting. The owners were incredibly friendly & welcoming, & the music playing in the background added the perfect touch to the whole experience. Can't wait to come back & try more!
I recently visited Kutum & was absolutely blown away. It's a fantastic new restaurant bringing a unique Bengali-French fusion to Montreal.
From the moment I walked in, I loved the atmosphere. The decoration is beautiful & they have a great music system, which all adds up to a really enjoyable dining experience.
The food was delicious, & I was so impressed with the creative (& tasty!) way they blend Bengali & French cuisines.
But what I appreciate the most is the owner's wonderful initiative to introduce Bengali cuisine to the local community here in Montreal. It's also a huge plus that the restaurant is halal, which is fantastic to see.
I highly recommend Kutum to anyone looking for a special & delicious meal. A true gem in the city!
We had the chicken platter & tacos. They were very flavorful & we loved the twist on the tacos. For the drinks, we had the hibiscus tea & the bengali tea. The bengali tea was AMAZING. Definitely coming back !!
From decor to food to hospitality to ambience, everything is top notch. Do check this new gem
out whenever you are in Montreal. Loveeee their idea of fusion Bengali cuisine. Everything tastes so unique yet has the deshi hint!
Kutum is such a hidden gem in Montréal! The Best & ONLY Bangladeshi Fusion restaurant in Canada! The food is flavorful & creative, blending Bengali spices with fun twists like naan pizza, tacos, & brunch plates. The atmosphere feels warm & welcoming-clearly a family-run place with a lot of heart. The owners are a friendly young passionate couple, they checked on us making sure everything is okay. Can't wait to go back to try their brunch menu!

Visited Montreal last week & made it a point to check out this spot! It's an up & coming restaurant with Bengali twists on the menu. We got several of the small plates & most of the mains & everything was delicious! So happy to see Bengalis taking on the restaurant industry.
Just had the best meal at Kutum Montreal - a Bengali fusion spot that seriously blew us away 😍
We tried their chicken pizza naan (so cheesy & flavourful!), the pasta bolognese with a twist of spice that hit just right, & the tiger shrimp which were juicy, perfectly cooked, & packed with flavour.
But the real surprise? Their pistachio + Nutella latte - hands down one of the best lattes I've had. So creamy, nutty, & just the right amount of sweet. I'm still thinking about it.
The vibe is super cozy & the staff were so sweet - you can tell they care about the food & the experience.
If you're in Montreal & want something different & delicious, definitely check out Kutum. It's fusion done right. 👏✨
This place really nailed it with their take on western & bengali fusion. So delicious! The music, atmosphere, feel, & service was exemplary. We'll be back for the brunch!

Super bon plat bengali ! Le poulet était tendre avec une sauce bien relevée, le riz jaune super parfumé & la salade fraîche équilibrait le tout. Généreux, savoureux & réconfortant 👌✨
This is a fusion Bengali restaurant & it definitely exceed their goal in delivering a tasty & unique offering. It will taste familiar to Bengalis while also having that flavour balance we expect from fusion cuisine. I recommend their tapas & tacos. We plan on trying their brunch too.
I was visiting from Toronto with friends from Bangladesh & was intrigued by the Bengali fusion concept. We stopped in for brunch on Saturday & were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly owners, Aunabil & Sara. They went out of their way to customize the dishes for us, & everything-from the shakshuka & poached eggs to the chicken & shrimp platter-was absolutely phenomenal. A must-visit spot for both locals & tourists alike!

Was super excited to find a Bengali fusion restaurant just a few blocks from me! So far I've tried one of the naan wraps but will be going back for the brunch menu 🤤
