Great hole in the wall vibes with this small restaurant, which can be a bit full at times
Ramen has light flavors, but in a great harmony which will leave you full! You can even pick how your egg must be cooked! Our ramens were accidentally missing an egg, but the staff were super accommodating & both got us an egg right away!
Ate here twice in the span of week!
A great find in the Plateau for mazemen, donburi, & ramen. The space is compact but cozy, with lots of kawaii tiger decor that nods nicely to its name, Kotora. We ordered the wakame, tonkotsu mazemen & the beef sukiyaki mini donburi - both came with an egg, & we got to choose the doneness, so we went with onsen eggs. Both dishes were very good & well seasoned. A fun bonus: orders above $20 get you a turn at the gashapon machine. Definitely a spot we can see ourselves coming back to.
I tried the tonkatsu ramen. The highlights: rich, creamy broth with deep flavor, generous portion, & perfectly chewy noodles that held up well. The chashu was tender & tasty, adding a nice balance to the dish. On the downside, the broth was a bit too salty for my liking, & I wish the egg had a more jammy center. Overall, a satisfying bowl in a cozy setting-definitely worth trying if you're a fan of hearty ramen!
decor is really cute, small seating space & can watch the street. friendly service. mais the food was just okay, i had a little eggshell in mine. not the best ramen, but not bad. i recommend the mazemen - that was good.
