Couldn't love this place more - what a gem. The food is outstanding - you can tell the team really loves what they do. Drinks & wines also fantastic. Can't wait to go back!View more
Limited but excellent lunch menu. The Arctic char tartare was delicious. Interesting wine & beer selection. Suggest taking the Table d'hôte offer with the kale salad & dessert.View more
Attentive service, delicious food, & the wine & cocktails were flowing … what more could you ask for?View more
Fantastic food. Owner Mat is welcoming & made us feel special! Great wine at reasonable prices.View more
Our evening at Knuckles was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere is homey & relaxed thanks to the exceptional staff. The wine list is fantastic as are the cocktails. We had the scallops, beef tartare & the carbonara & gnocchi - each dish was sublime. Knuckles is a hidden gem in a great neighbourhood!View more
What a great restaurant ! The food was amazing. The knuckles are just to die for. Buffalo mushrooms are inventive & super tasty. The carbonara has to be one of the best ! But the menu changes frequently so it's always fun to come back ! Their choice of wines is adequate & interesting. Service is variable. Met several different waiters. ( 5th visit ) Latest round of waiter is not amazing , they seem to NOT care whatsoever.View more
My husband & I chanced upon Knuckles as we were looking for a quick lunch after a work meeting we had in the area. The innovative menu sounded so intriguing, we had to give it a go. We ended staying for a much longer time than we expected because we were so incredibly WOWED by our experience. I say experience because the owner Matthew introduced & gave us amazing stories behind every dish we ordered & helped us select a delightful glass of wine to pair. The food was amazing, & he made our afternoon such a pleasurable & unforgettable one. The kale salad was outstanding & so delicious I wished we had seconds. The green gnocchi made with spinach (not potatoes) was delicious & so soft it felt like it melted in our mouths. The orange wine from Baden, Germany was light & tart with just the right amount of fruitiness. Perfect for the meal. I really wanted to try their carbonara but I think that was only available in the evening. What a pleasure to bump into this gem of a restaurant. If you like a restauranteur that plays & innovates with flavours, while still keeping the dish simple & casual, this place is for you.View more
I brought my friend for her birthday & I have to say KNUCKLES did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in you will be greeted by an epic & awesome staff. You almost feel as if you're in the comfort of your own home that's how cozy this resto is. The food is absolutely out of this world I can't describe it because you literally have to taste it for yourself!! Their selection of wines are amazing. The desserts ARE JUST OMG !! Place was so good & the chef food was so delicious that my friend & I HAD TO GO BACK the week after for brunch. This is an ABSOLUTE GEM in the city of Montreal. I most definitely recommend it to everyone. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTEDView more
Great food made with love & fresh ingredients. Good selection of wines & a fun place to go on a date or with friends. I was told some of the recipes actually come from one of the guy's grandmother. Man is would have loved two grow on those recipes! I guess I'll have to go back to Knuckles instead :)View more
5 stars all around! Went there multiple times in the last few years & every time I've been impressed. Delicious & tasty food, the knuckles special is so so good. Wine pairing is also top notch, let the staff go ahead with their recommendations. Fun design in an old dépanneur, the cold fridge doors have been kept, showcasing the various wines they offer. Make sure to book in advance though as this place gets booked up fast, wouldn't suggest to just show up without reservation.View more
This restaurant was unfortunately a disappointment. Pomme de terre truffle didn't deserve $24. Two crispy fries with truffles sliced so thin that you wouldn't taste any truffles, & none of the creme sure or the fry brought a flavor; no punch. tartare was ok. The highlight was the burgot dog. Wines were extremely disappointing & rather pricey. Beaujolais nouveau at $100 seems excessive. The service was nice & open to comments about the food & wine.View more
I chose this restaurant for a mini reunion/girls night out & we all loved it. The atmosphere is laid back, the staff members are nice, patient & informative. The food: some excellent, some good. We didn't expect a set menu but they were able to cater to some food restrictions & it was amazing. Thursday's glass of wine special was definitely a bonus. Price point: quite reasonable! $100 approx per person including the meal, 2 glass of wine & the tip Altho it's not a huge menu , we were very curious about the other food they offered. Definitely enticing to come back ❤️View more
Going into this restaurant I had high expectations & man were they exceeded. The food was out of this world & the wine was so good. Would 100% recommend.View more
Came for a with family friends- we were 6 (3 couples) & were obliged to take the fixed menu.. Mind you we werent 12! 55$/ person for food we didnt pick out & tiny portion. Also did not take into consideration our dietary restrictions Service was terrible. We were without drinks or water for most of the service. When we asked to order a bottle wine to pour ourselves, the waiter said he was overwhelmed & couldnt take our drink order because he wouldnt remember it. No water, limited drinks & bird food that wasnt that great.View more

Delicious meal in a charming neighbourhood in Montreal. We loved the vibe & ambiance of the restaurant. We sat at the bar & our server was very friendly & talked us through the menu & dishes. We ordered a number of dishes including: the Memphis barbecorn, carbonara, pizza pockets, fried fish with Big Mac hollandaise, tomato & mozzarella salad, fish eclair, & chocolate mousse. We loved how fun & flavourful all the dishes, with a refined spin on some classics like the filet-o-fish. The fish dish & pizza pockets were definitely the highlights of our meal. The Memphis barbecorn was super flavourful as well; we loved all the corn components but found the pork belly a bit too fatty (even for pork belly). The pasta in the carbonara was cooked perfectly al dente & the flavour was excellent. The unique wines were also a highly & I loved the red wine our serve had recommended. Overall a great dining experience!View more
Awesome 1st experience at this charming bistro in the "Jarry Village" - all of the dishes were well prepared & original combinations. Very tasty overall. The homemade focaccia that came with the garlic roasted periwinkles (bourgot) was outstanding. Special last night was freshly made spinach gnocchi with grandma's special sauce - yum! We likely the strawberry shortcake so much we had it twice - Groundhog Day dessert - our waited did not seem surprised at all, guess this happens often. Great selection of reasonable prices wines with a focus on bio/organic - let the waiter guide you, they know their wines here. Overall a wonderful dinner experience, followed by a stroll around Jarry park which is a few blocks over to digest. We will be back for sure - very, very recommended.View more
Everything was so good! I highly recommend the fried pleurotes, it comes with an absolutely insane blue cheese sauce. The carbonara was excellent. The knuckles are a must order, it is absolutely delicious. The wines were delicious. Our waiter was attentive & friendly. The only comment I have is that the scallop dish was SO tiny. We were expecting two scallops at least for the price, but it was one, cute in small slices...View more
Casual atmosphere & friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. A great place for people who appreciate natural wines that are somewhat out of the ordinary. Every dish was excellent. I will go back next time I'm back in Montrèal.View more
Excellent modern upgraded take on comfort food. Great nature winesView more
Knuckles is my favourite restaurant in Montreal. It is hands down the best food, most unpretentious vibes, & most passionate team who truly care about where they source their food & ingredients from. Time & time again, I tell everyone to eat here & they LOVE it. If you love eating from many dishes, sharing, & trying amazing wines, go to knuckles!View more
Their strengths lie in the entrée menu & expansive wine selection! The dense freshness of the kale & complimentary sweet vinaigrette, the sharp tanginess of the buffalo oyster mushrooms with the creamy blue cheese! A real treat with shareable portions. & cozy cute, intimate atmosphere. Only one star off a perfect mark for the overcooked gnocchi & the classic cocktail executions that require an unconventional palette. Otherwise, I'll be sure to bring guests again for the next seasonal menu change!View more
Great little venue, wonderful menu & wine selection. Must try knuckles, have returned a few times. Solid recommend.View more
This was one of the most incredible restaurants I've ever been to. Wine? Incredible. Food? Incredible. Vibes? Incredible. Everything is so delicious & fresh & yummy. Their signature knuckles calzones were phenomenal. Then we got the kale salad which was the freshest thing I've ever had. We finished it off with carbonara (with pasta made fresh from directly across the street) & Wagyu beef stuffed onions. Just all around incredible & I'll never stop raving about this restaurant. Can't wait to come back to Montreal for this & try other times on the menu.View more
