Knox Taverne est percu comme un endroit chaleureux et cosy, avec une vibe rustique chic et une cuisine inventive. Les plats phares, comme les choux de Bruxelles et le steak frites, ainsi que les propositions du moment, reçoivent des retours largement positifs et une presentation soignee. Le service est generalement apprecie pour son accueil chaleureux et sa disponibilite, mais plusieurs avis signalent des lenteurs, des plats servis froids ou mal cuits et des problemes de constance. L ambiance et le cadre conviennent pour des diners entre amis ou des rendez vous romantiques et l experience est souvent describe comme un petit bijou local. Dans l ensemble Knox Taverne est vu comme une adresse attractive avec un bon rapport qualite prix, mais la constance peut varier selon les plats ou les soirees.
Good restaurant, the lighting was a little too dark for my liking (I had to open my phone flashlight which I think takes away from the vibe of the place.)
I ordered the pork & sprouts, & both were very good. However, the carrot cake was a bit lacking in my opinion. It was very cardamom-forward.
Also, I was really looking forward to trying their corn ribs (as stated on the online menu), but the menu was different in person.
Cozy restaurant, real Montreal vibes, good food.
I wish the lighting was a bit brighter (couldn't see anything) & the online menu was updated (what I had originally planned on eating wasn't on the real-life menu...)

Knox was a cozy & rustic chic vibe. The brussel sprouts were the highlight, the tater tots were alright. For the main we shared the steak frites & the beet salad, both were very good. Ben was super friendly, professional & tended to our dining needs. The Heineken was cold & the old fashion was perfect. Ideal spot for a nice casual warm dinner with great company, or a quick cocktail.
We wandered into Knox looking for a simple meal & drink. The food was complex & beautifully presented. The bar staff Ben & Matt were delightful. We loved the vibe & will be back.
Great vibe, great food. Too bad their burger is not on the menu anymore it used to be one of Montreal's very best. Other than that I'll still be coming back

Incredible food & perfect vibes at Knox Taverne. The chef works magic with fresh, seasonal produce-every dish is bursting with delicious flavors. Great for a night out with friends or a cozy catch-up. Order everything & share-you won't regret it!
This place has been on my list to try for a few years & finally got around to it for girls evening out. We definitely loved the vibe. It's definitely everything that I love. You can choose to dress up or dress down. Chill & laid back. I love the area it's in because it also means there's a lot more available parking on the streets. The waitress we had was super sweet & the two that came out to bring out our food were as nice too! Value for the money was def on point. Their cocktails & wines by the glass are very reasonably priced. The food. Lets talk about the food. in a nutshell, YUM. We ordered the chopped salad: (don't have the picture but super tasty), certainly ordering again. Shishito peppers: really liked it, but i'd be okay without it. Focaccia: WHOA, def ordering more of this & certainly not sharing any of it. The brisket: can be a hit & miss, all depending on the person. I thought it was super interesting but my friends thought it was good, but they would choose something else next time. The fries with a side of aioli that came with the brisket (regular or with parmesan) ... i'm drooling thinking about them right now. Mushroom tacos: REAAALLLLY loved it. The flavour, on freaking point. BUT, it's a bit of a tease tho with that price point. I felt like the plate was missing a lil something. Perhaps they should consider adding a small side of fries, salad or anything really (considering it's a main meal). Olive oil/mascarpone/sliver of almond & i think peach cake: Definitely an interesting try. I would love to have this again, so so good, but I would have to share it.
Amazing food. Amazing vibe. Amazing people. Thank you for a memorable night. For the person who left "1 star" because they overheard talks about politics during the election... SHAME ON YOU! Politics should have nothing to do when rating hard working people & restaurants. Needless to say, giving any restaurant a "1 star" review is detrimental to their business. Nice terrasse on a warm summer night. Excellent cocktail on my part, but less so for my friends. Food was definitely not up to par. Brisket was barely edible & salad was drenched in an overly acidic vinaigrette. Gnocchi's texture was completely off & almost tasteless. Over 200$ for 2 people. We were very disappointed as food used to be excellent! Would come back for cocktail & vibe.
Food is good & flavors are rich, drinks are good too. Vibe is nice, doors were open though & it was cold, even stayed opened at night. It's not summer yet. Service was really good but it's one of those places that are very pushy. Three four servers will keep trying to take your plate away as you're eating & take things as soon as you're done putting them down. Would not go back, but would still recommend because the food was actually quite good. Portions are small though
