The food is fresh. It's located at the heart of downtown & the vibe of the place is just the perfect example of "peace admist chaos". You pay for the experience.
Growing up in Ottawa (& living now in Toronto) Kettlemans has been my goto for bagels. Honestly, I had a bagel here & it was kind of dry & tasteless. Also, I was charged for a full breakfast sandwich when ordering just an egg & cheese.
This place is so slow. Every time I give them a second chance, it blows my mind how disorganized it is. First time I went, it took 20 minutes for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. They need to review how they process orders in the kitchen because if you get stuck behind a large sandwich order you wait forever. This time, I simply placed an online order for pickup of a dozen bagels. When I show up, it's like they had no idea it existed & filled the order as I waited. Defeating the whole purpose of an online order. Not the employees fault, needs better management
I was looking for the Montreal bagel experience & found Ketlemans. It looks like an old style bagel oven but cooked en masses. My smoked eat bagel on cheese n herb was excellent & her smoked salmon on pumpernickel.was superb. Coffee was good too.

18$ pour un bagel qui ressemble à ca.... c'est censé etre le bagel poulet roti (avec un minuscule poulet qui tombe dans le trou du bagel lol..) Le caissier était accueillant. Le bagel était bien, & la sauce aussi.. mais j'y retournerais pas car ne vaut pas le rapport qualité/prix!
Convenient centre city location. Good bagel selection. Fast service. Dine in or take away. Clear view of the bagel making process. Hand formed bagels. Brick oven baked. Note there is limited on -street parking.

Nice little cafe where you can sit & enjoy a time on the covered terasse or inside. You can see them make the bagels, which is very entertaining. We took the salmon, philly cheesteak & the smoked meat. They were all good but the smoked meat was my favorite! We also had some of the italians desserts which were absolutely delicious!
The service was really nice, super cool people. The bagels were pretty good. Dining area & restrooms were clean, which is a plus compared to some places nearby. Will definitely go back.
Great baked bagels. Not like the rubbish boiled bagels you get in the USA. You have to try the wood fire baked ones they taste so amazing. You have tried a proper bagel until you've tried these.
Nous nous y rendions assez régulièrement. Malgré le fait que l'on avait de la misère a se faire servir en français & qu'il n'y ait pas d'erreur dans nos sandwichs, c'était quand même bon. Mais à notre dernière visite, le 30 août dernier, nous avons acheté une douzaine de bagels en vrac avec deux fromages à la crème en plus de nos trios déjeuner. Quelle fût notre surprise quand nous avons constaté une fois à la maison qu'on nous avait seulement mis 9 bagels au lieu de douze... j'ai appeler pour parler au gérant 3 fois. J'ai laisser un message avec mon nom & numéro de téléphone pour qu'il me rappel. Aucun signe de vie! C'est à se demander si il y a un gérant qui y travaille. Le service client est inexistant & vraiment de piètre qualité. Nous n'y retourneront sûrement pas!
The first time I tried this place, I really liked it. However, I went back today with my brother & it was not fresh at all :( I took the cubano & the bagel was HARD as a rock & tasted days old. The meat did not taste fresh either. My brother took the Kettlemans special, which he found wasn't as good as the first time either. There was a good amount of salmon, but the amount of cream cheese overwhelmed it. However, his bagel tasted fresher than mine so I guess I just got an old one that they found under the counter 😂
