This shop features an inspired menu of ice cream & sorbet flavors from around the globe. I tried the salted butter, chocolate, pandan & soursop. The salted butter I would describe as a sweet cream, the chocolate was a classic ice cream truck chocolate flavor, the pandan was good, but I wouldn't say it was rich in flavor, & the soursop was also good. If you compare the tropical flavors to what you'd find overseas the flavors are lacking, but it's unique for the area & worth trying.

I got a scoop of salted butter ice cream & a scoop of dark chocolate as well. Absolutely delicious, I can't wait to come back next time I visit Montreal!

Kem Coba came up on Google as one of the highest-rated ice cream spots in Montreal, so I had to try it-& overall, it's not a bad experience.

I tried both their gelato & soft serve. For the price, it's definitely a plus: portions are generous, & the cone is really good. I also love the funky, colorful interior & the shared seating space outside where people naturally end up chatting-it has a fun, community feel.

I had the salted cream & Vietnamese coffee gelato. They were good, but personally I found the gelato a bit too rich for my taste-I lean more toward creamery-style ice cream. The sorbets, however, were excellent. The strawberry stood out as amazing, & the matcha was also very good. The mango passion fruit with lime soft serve ice cream was also ok, too sweet for my preference though. So I couldn't have much.

Just a heads-up: it's cash only & expect long lines.

Overall, great spot for gelato & sorbet lovers, just not exactly my personal preference for ice cream style might have other options for my palette.

Kem Coba is one of the top 3 places for outstanding ice cream in Montreal. If we are having dinner in the area we stop for dessert here. About every two weeks there soft ice cream flavour changes & the flavours are exquisite burst of a perfect blend of flavours. In the fall their last soft ice cream taste like apple pie. WOW. Dry duran, salted butter, the dark chocolate is devine.. Not sure if you will like the soft ice cream, just get a mini & come back for more.
Vincent , Ngoc family & team are very friendly & patient.
The line up is long in summer, hence the rope because that is how good & popular Kem Coba is . There are seats to enjoy & chat with friends. The summer heat has finally arrived & its time for delicious ice cream & sorbet . Also a stop on my ice cream tours of Montreal.

Really love the Asian-inspired flavours offered at this place. I found the flavours were very unique & not commonly found in any other ice cream shops I've been to. We had a double scoop of pandan & salted butter. We really loved the pandan ice cream, the flavour was really strong & true to what pandan tastes like!! I also have never seen pandan offered anywhere else. Definitely recommend this place.
