From my experience, when you find a takeout place in a small market like this, it's usually super authentic & this was no exception. I went for the lamb plate. For the price it was decent value, could have been a couple more chunks of meat but wouldn't call the meat portion stingy either. The meat was very nicely seasoned & well-textured. Went very nice with the plantain & the rice. I tried the beignets too which are delicious & pretty cheap at 50 cents each. A little bit of salad would have completed the plate I feel. There is no seating here so no points for atmosphere. Service didn't really win me over either. I was waiting outside as the food was being made. I figured the girl would let me know once the food was ready. But instead she just left it on the counter & started using her phone until I came in to check on my own. It probably wasn't long but the polite thing to have done would have been to notify me. Other than that she was not particularly rude, just lacked care in her service.Voir plus

The grilled chicken is dry & not juicy. It does not taste seasoned. It tastes like they don't put spice on it or some seasoning. It seems like they just take it out of the freezer & put it on the grill. They need to work on the quality of their grilled chicken & make sure it's well seasoned.Voir plus
