Avis pour Jukebox Burgers

burger(137) milkshake(38) cheese(35) fries(34) kid(20) decor(20) recommend(19) retro(18) family(18)I think this place may be abit too hipped. I heard so many amazing stories from this place. The food was very good I have to say. I had the fried chicken & waffles, they were soooo good! & my bf had the grilled veggies & goat cheese burger also amazing. The place itself is huge, not very cozy but still cute in a retro way. The service was very fast & friendly. Unfortunately I felt like I was at McDonald's. Kids screaming & running everywhere, so loud. I'm happy I tried it but there are less commercial places to try.
Went last night with a group of 6 friends. Nothing special about the burgers. I've had better. Waiter was nice. Women's bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Floor was dirty & sticky...i partly blame the women for this...what the hell is wrong with you people that leave toilet paper & an empty tampon cover (yes that's right, I saw it on the floor last night) on the floor...but at the same time, it is a restaurant & it should be cleaned often. Never going back.
Don't order the roast beef melt sandwich...The Sweet potato fries were good & so was the service.
First of all, this is not a place for dieters, nor people looking for a quiet ambiance. It's a very family-oriented restaurant, with lots of kids & teenagers milling around & enjoying themselves. The place is definitely 50s to 60s diner style, with loud music, burgers, dogs, shakes, ice cream & more.
I never had the true diner or ice cream parlour experience, so this was a welcome treat. Service was great - at one point, we had to change seats, because my husband is large, & was going to fall out of one of the smaller booths. So the manager promptly showed us a more suitable table. The waiter was friendly & efficient. The food came out pretty quickly, & our burgers were delicious (by the way, you do get a choice of bread), as were the sides we ordered - mac & cheese, & regular fries. My husband ordered a chocolate milkshake, & I ordered a banana/strawberry smoothie. My husband enjoyed a real milkshake for once, but my smoothie wasn't quite as sweet as I was expecting, but that's okay - with no extra sugar added, it was healthier. I will definitely eat there again, but I'll be sure to pick a quieter night, like Monday to Wednesday.
Not welcoming to families.
We love Jukebox for the food & decor. Unfortunately, management doesn't favor a family environment we're looking for - catching up with eachother. Blasting music provides a great backdrop to watch the game but not for a family night out.
Do not go as a family ... if you're interested in hearing what your kids have to say.
After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to try this burger place.
Unfortunately, my experience was not very good. I had the 1/4lb Elvis burger, with poutine +3$. The beef patties are unseasoned. For the 1/4lb burgers, you do not get a choice of buns; it came with the basic white bun which was blah. The fries & gravy for my poutine were room temperature, so the yummy goodness when the cheese curds melts, was non-existence. I would have sent the poutine back but our waiter had an attitude, so I just didn't bother, nor did he ask how our meals were.
Huge disappointment. Will not be back.
While the decor of the restaurant was top notch, the burgers were less than stellar. I ordered the "Elvis burger" $13.95 (carmelized onions, mushrooms & Swiss cheese) with a side of onion rings + $2.00. The burger was overcooked, dry & flavorless. My friends were also not impressed with their burgers. Many other buger places on the island with a better product. I won't be back.
Jukebox is the ideal, family-oriented restaurant for comfort-food oldies like poutine & burgers. Friendly service, great eats (albeit in a less-than-quiet environment...remember, this is a kid-friendly resto!) make for a fun night out. I especially like the different burger choices (in that I don't eat beef) & the eclectic side dishes. The kicker is the fun, retro-50's diner style, with the matching wall decor & stylized furnishings.
Fair prices coupled with great shakes make Jukebox one of my family's "go-to" joints.
L'an dernier, les burgers étaient succulents.
very good burgers, pricy but it is worth it's value ,you can tell it's fresh .very very clean ,you can see the owner or managers really take keeping the place clean & in order to heart. alot of love goes into this place & you can see it if you look.Staff is young & cute good service & friendly.didn;t try the shakes or ice cream but looks good.
