« Something to make year-round lovers of the sea salivate »
Iris Gagnon-Paradis, La Presse
Located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, the Joséphine restaurant offers original bistro cuisine that highlights fish and seafood.
Inspired by his many travels, chef Vincent Desaulniers revisits with passion classic dishes combined with different flavors of the world. On the plate, you will therefore find delicately crafted quality products intelligently enhanced with local ingredients. The varied menu evolving with the creativity of the chef over the seasons will satisfy everyone!
The meticulously crafted wine list features a wide selection of privately imported products and is constantly evolving.
With its warm atmosphere and its modern decor bathed in greenery and natural light, this restaurant on rue St-Denis will become your favorite destination for your outings as a couple or with friends, both to enjoy a meal and for happy hour.
Reviews of Joséphine describe a warm, cozy seafood focused spot with attentive service and creative, fresh dishes. Diners praise the oyster bar, mussels and fries, lobster ravioli, and a well balanced tasting menu, along with thoughtful wine pairings and a piano ambiance that adds charm. The atmosphere is repeatedly noted as welcoming and intimate, with staff who accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, and many say the experience is worth returning for, including occasions like MTL à Table events, though a few mentions of small portions or higher prices appear from some visits.

The food was amazing! I had the shrimp & Cesar salad & everything was beautiful! Thank you! The salmon tartare & the "pieuvre » were delicious as well!
1iere visite & non la dernière;
