when I made my reservation I had made it clear that it was for a birthday. I had even called the night of my reservation to remind Jatoba, & the hostess rudely explained that proper arrangements would be made when they brought dessert, & unfortunately the restaurant did nothing, which was very disappointing.
The ambience was amazing, food was some of the best in the city! On top of that, our server & the bartender were INCREDIBLE. Easily the best service I've had in years. Cheers

Excellent service! Nous avons essayé de nombreux plats, la plupart étaient savoureux, l'un d'entre eux n'était toutefois pas à la hauteur. Prix légèrement trop élevés lorsqu'on compare à d'autres restaurants qui offrent des plats de même catégorie.

Fantastic food in a terrific atmosphere with great service. Visiting from Toronto, it was a superb experience & I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top notch Asian fusion experience. I will come here every time I visit Montreal.
Had a great time at Jatoba! The food was beyond delicious & don't even get me started on the service & ambiance. Our server, Clara, was exceptionally friendly & helpful. We loved conversing with her & learning about the different options from her. We will definitely be back soon!

This is such a great restaurant! You can immediately appreciate its beautiful interior, from the moment you get inside. We were well greeted & we had a great experience the whole time. The waiters were very knowledgeable about the different plates & were professional.
Food-wise... Honestly, I'm speechless. Every single plate was out of this world. The Nigiri Ora King Aburi literally melts in your mouth. The Ha Gao was packed with so much flavor. The Eggplants, Maki Hamachi Taru, Gyoza & Spare Ribs were delicious. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection (Just a tiny touch of seasoning would have made it perfect). The Jatoba Black Cod.... It was one of the best plates I have ever tasted. The Cod stood out from all the other plates.
I appreciate how passionate the chef is at making these different plates. He/She loves his/her job. You can see & taste it clearly.
Thank you for this great experience. This is a must-visit location. I will come back.
