Food & service was excellent as usual. Their rather strict reservation rules appeared harsh at first notice, but given what businesses like this have been put through with this pandemic, I find them totally understandable. I hope people are sensitive to that, & that they become a bit more serious when making restaurant reservations going forward.
I was happy to see that the restaurant was doing well & that it appears to be making it through these nightmarish years, especially as many, many other places & other people's livelihoods have not.
Now if only the municipal government had been a bit more sensitive to the pandemic's effects on business & had staggered or permanently postponed their downtown construction projects (some of which are frankly completely unnecessary at this time), perhaps a lot of the businesses that are not coming back could have been saved. The irresponsibility of this administration is astonishing. Phillips Square under renovation (again) in the guise of creating a 'forested oasis' (all the right buzzwords of course, so what was it before? A forested non-oasis?) is shutting down all means of travel, particularly this administration's beloved pedestrian & biking traffic, shows a complete lack of perspective & empathy for people trying to make a living. Walking to the restaurant was an obstacle course through unguarded pit holes, construction material & complete chaos.

It was nice, maybe I missed the best part which I guess might have been the terrace? perhaps could have changed my perception on this place but yeah, regardless, it's worth a visit. Food was good, but not exceptional.

Cuisine raffinée. Plats exquis. Service un peu lent. Sauces d'accompagnement pas très généreuses en quantité. Ambiance feutrée. Décor impeccable. Le personnel très gentil.
Wonderful food & ambiance...Jatoba never fails. The evening was made even more special by Cara, who took such great care of us....She is a rockstar!!!!!
