We were 3 , one had a onion soups with too many croutons & not enough onions . One had pizza , got it & then 25 minutes later the both of us received our food. I have smoked Big meat sandwich plate & a smoked meat plate.
I can not understand how a deli can have frozen French fries . Garbage fries, 1/4 pickles is not enough. Not my favorite coleslaw either, too liquidity . I took the bigger size of smoked meat but it was not big at all. I would be afraid to see what the regular size is. The smoked meat was average in taste. I will not be back & I believe it is overrated. Same your money, we had 35 minutes for lunch & it took over 50 minutes .
What happened here? It used to be an east end institution. I've devoured many juicy sandwiches at this place over the years. Now the meat is like those boiling pouches you buy at the supermarket.
Was able to order a Whole Cheesecake for a Birthday party (24 hour pre-order).
Not to mention Jarry is a Go-To spot when we crave a good smokemeat sandwich.

Je suis toujours bien servi a cet endroit, sincèrement ont peu dire que ce restaurant est une institution montréalaise dans la restauration famillial convivial. Une des références en matière de smoke meat montréalais. Personne très courtois, assidu & un propriétaire qui aime sont entreprises. Chez Jarry smokemeat tu retrouves de tout type de repas, smokemeat, pizza, brochettes, sandwich, frite, salade, riz, gâteau ect. Si tu aime découvrir des restaurants & aime encourager les entreprises locales a la place des franchises international, bien tu sera bien servi. Bonne bouffe a tous ✌?
LE PIRE SMOKE MEAT QUE J'AI MANGER DE MA VIE ! 2 petit sandwiches une frite brulé la moitié d'un cornichon fade pour 55$ ! C'est plus que du vol ! Pas mangeable ! Deguelasse yarklkkk & toutes étaient froid

I remember when this place had good food in the 90's. I haven't eaten here in about 20+ years & last time I was there, the food was acceptable… not mind blowing, but ok.
Now the sandwiches are filled with scrap pieces of smoked meat. Super fatty pieces when I had ordered medium. Ordered three sandwiches & all were the same crappy quality. This has happended on a few occasions. I got the impression that they do this to take-away orders because they figure that the person won't drive back to complain as they would if they were eating indoors at the restaurant. Honestly, you're better off driving to George's (Laval), Schwartz (St. Laurent), Snowdon Deli (Decarie) or Lesters (Outremont) as any of those four restaurants have maintained top quality meats throughout the years.
I ordered a piece of their famous cheese cake but it wasn't as good as people claim it to be. Not bad, no, but nothing that would make me recommend it to others.
Meilleurs sandwich de viande fumée, bonne ambiance & ils ne servent pas la viande de la veille, c'est toujours la même qualité & le même bon goût . Ça fait plus de 30 ans que je vais dans ce restaurant.
Moi qui avait le goût de un des meilleurs smoke Meat en ville dans l'est de Montréal mais la je sais pas si c'est moi mais jai presque rien dans mon assiette pour $22 j'ai demandé le spéciale sandwich, frite & je voulais pas de pain car je suis sans gluten, ni de salade de chou & pas de concombre. Mais quand même j'ai presque rien comme viande dans mon assiette pour apportez!!
c'était pas la quantité de viande fumée que j'aurais eu chez Bob le resto a côté de chez moi! Chez Bob pour le même prix j'en aurais eu une bonne quantité de viande! Plus rien n'a de sens sérieux! Les prix on plus que doublé partout & on en a pas mal moins dans nos assiettes. Pas de sens! Désolé mais pas de sens!
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food & the service. The London steak is a must (2 can eat plenty with just one order 😋), & they also have pasta, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, soup, salads... everything at very affordable prices & large portions. I am not a smoke meat fan, so I won't comment on it. Service available in both official languages, with attentive & courteous staff.

J'ai mangé le meilleur sandwich à la viande fumée en ville. La viande est succulente, chaude & la portion généreuse. J'ai demandé gras moyen & chaque bouchée était pour moi que du bonheur. Pour le resto c'était propre & un bon choix sur le menu. C'est pas un restaurant huppé mais bien familial. Depuis cette visite je veux aller en manger un autre tellement qu'il était délicieux.
Honestly over hyped in terms of the smoked meat sandwich, felt the meat had no seasoning & the portion was small for the price. Had better smoked meat in MTL. But place looks nice & menu has other things. Fries were great just needed salt!
Wonderful restaurant! The smoked meat sandwich platter was generous & delicious- the perfect combination. We could easily have shared the platter between two people.

Amazing smoked meat sandwich, went there for the first time last night, people at the counter were super nice, asked for fat smoked meat plate & it was soo good! Melt in your mouth! They also had Cott black cherry which is really rare. Definitely in the top places!
