Jarry Smoked Meat vs Schwartz
Meat: Jarry's was much more juicy & tender than Schwartz, but the portion was smaller.
Fries: Jarry's fries are the terrible frozen kind that are almost powdery, reminiscent of the texture of a frozen steak fry.. at least invest in the Cavendish coated ones? Schwartz offered freshly in house fried potato fries but are we really there for fries anyway?

I had gotten a poutine with those same fries & it came lightly dusted with shredded cheese….. squeaky cheese please for the love of Quebec!

Price: Comparable, around the same price range.

Overall, I would probably pick Jarry's for taste & juiciness of the meat but the sides are mediocre!

The smoked meat sandwich was not bad, but the poutine was horrible. Was worth trying, but to be honest I won't go back.

One of the best Viande Fumé & Poutine places in Montréal. Amazing food & service! Great staff who are bi-lingual (to all my fellow Torontonians).

Tout d'abord je dois préciser que le service était numéro 1! Par contre, pour la nourriture, mes attentes étaient relativement élevés mais grosse déception.

Tout d'abord, le smoked meat était tranché beaucoup trop épais, le pain trop petit pour la viande qui elle était relativement trop cuite.

Puis la poutine… que dire… les frites & la sauce étaient bonnes mais du fromage rapée dans une poutine c'est tout simplement inadmissible. Je ne servirais pas une poutine avec du fromage rapée même à mon pire ennemi.

Je ne reviendrai pas.

Poutine jarry (smokemeat) nous y allons depuis 35 ans & vendredi soir passer pour souper le service incroyable j'avoue comme toujours :) mais 17$ pour la poutine presque pas de sauce & le plat est de la moitié qu'elle était auparavant nous étions 3 clients un peu dèçus :(

Leur poutine au smoked meat offre un parfait mélange de textures & de saveurs, des frites croustillantes, une sauce goûteuse, du fromage en grains frais & une portion généreuse de smoked meat. Pour les amateurs de desserts, leur gâteau au fromage est un vrai délice, riche & crémeux, avec une texture fondante. Un excellent endroit pour un repas réconfortant & copieux !
