Depuis plus de 30 ans, Le Jardin Nelson est l'endroit à ne pas manquer lors d'un passage dans le Vieux-Montréal. Ce restaurant a été nommé ainsi en l'honneur du Dr Wolfred Nelson, patriote de la rébellion de 1837, et neuvième maire de Montréal. L'immense terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 500 personnes se situe en plein cœur d'une vaste cour de style jardin méditerranéen. La multitude de fleurs et d'arbustes florissants, méticuleusement entretenus, ajoute une touche de vivacité et de dynamisme à l'endroit.

Jardin Nelson will always have a line of people waiting to get in during the summer months, but I can tell you the wait is worth it! This is a lovely restaurant set in a beautiful garden away from the craziness of Montreal's Old Town streets. It's literally a hidden oasis! Once you're given a menu, you'll find there is a plethora of options - they have a very impressive selection of crêpes (which I absolutely would recommend getting), excellent salads, very good pizzas, & that's really just scratching the surface! They have so many different items on the menu, it's crazy! Try a variety of different things, & don't be afraid to ask the waiters/waitresses what they would recommend. That's what we did, & it helped a lot! Service was very good, food came out in a reasonable manner, & despite it being in a very touristy part of Montreal, prices were not exorbitant. All in all, a very impressive restaurant we will always return to whenever we are visiting the city!Voir plus

Beautiful terrace for lunch at the old port of Montreal in the summer. Always a line up, which can be annoying, but also a sign that the place is loved by many! Had the bruschetta & the ceviche. They were both good, but nothing out of this world. Still thoroughly enjoyed my lunch experience at Jardin Nelson.Voir plus

J'y suis allé plusieurs fois & chaque fois c'est merveilleux! La nourriture est vraiment bonne & l'ambiance est agréable. La décoration des lieux rends cette terrasse intérieure distinguée & originale. Le lieux est aussi situé parfaitement par rapport aux activités du vieux port.Voir plus

Everyone told me I had to try this place. So I did. I had I stopped for lunch on what was one of hottest fall days I've encountered. 32c. On October 3rd. The patio was lovely. Le personnel était accueillant & agréable, l'extérieur est très beau ! Les prix sont plutôt corrects. Highly over-rated Service was ridiculously slow. We waited forever to order & we were there for dinner early. I had to flag one of the hostesses down to get our waiter. The chairs are super uncomfortable & the tables too close together. I was disappointed with the menu choices. The shrimp tacos I ordered were not what I expected. On a positive note: the small sangria pitcher is perfect for 2 people & the cookie dessert was delicious.Voir plus
