Disappointing. Been here before & wanted to take my family to experience the beautiful atmosphere. Ordered the lobster sandwich & it was mediocre at best, poorly seasoned & stale bun. Severely over priced. The serve was adequate & the music was nice.
Food, service & vibe of the place was amazing. Would definitely come back.
Jardin Nelson was buzzing with energy on a weeknight, & we were fortunate enough to snag a table in the beautiful garden, where we enjoyed live jazz music alongside our meal.
We started with the baby ribs glazed with Jack Daniel's & maple syrup, & they were absolutely delicious--fall-off-the-bone tender! A must-try for anyone. For our entrees, we opted for the pâté chinois au canard, which is akin to shepherd's pie but filled with succulent shredded duck, corn, & creamy mashed potatoes. It was simply delightful. The lasagna au gratin was also impressive, featuring layers of eggplant, tomato sauce, spinach, & peppers baked to perfection.
Merci à Antoine pour son bon service! Très bel endroit pour l'ambiance & l'expérience musical avec les musiciens incroyables!
Great spot for live music & food. Tried the clam chowder which was well done, great taste & hot! Tried other items on the menu which were good but not overly memorable.
Really nice experience at Jardin Nelson. The service was impeccable! We ordered 2 appetizers: Breaded & baked calamary & Brie with dried tomatoes & basil. Then ordered Pizza Charcutière & Du marché. All was amazing! The drinks were very good also. Had lychee martini (amazing) & a glass of red wine.
The atmosphere is superb, there is a live band playing & the ambiance is really nice as the seating area is outside in a huge garden. They have lots of heaters so dont worry if the weather is cold, you wont feel cold once seated.
Other things to note is that they do not accept groups of more than 6, which is perfectly fine to keep the noise level normal with the band playing.
Overall experience is a 10/10
Extremely bad food. I'd love to see the chef try the so-called Caesar salad that has nothing to do with an actual Caesar, or the overcooked meat-stuffed crepes that are as dry as ash. This restaurant is clearly aimed at tourists & designed for one-time visits, with unjustifiably high prices.
Highly recommending the appetizers; especially shrimp. Ceviche is not something that i am used to but definitely good too.
& cocktails…
We were on the hop on hop off bus & had our tour guide Richard, recommend this restaurant. We took the opportunity after a lovely walk & it was mid afternoon. We were given the choice of inside or the patio & chose outside to people watch.
I had the beef tartare & a local beer & my wife had the tuna poke bowl. Both were amazing.
I'd love to go back & do the same or explore the menu.
Première fois pour nous dans ce restaurant, nous avons mangé dans la cour intérieur très charmante avec des musiciens.
La cuisine est très bonne & le service souriant. Restaurant plutôt haut de gamme par rapport au prix.
By far my favourite restaurant in Montreal. The live music was beautiful, the staff are incredibly attentive, & the food is delicious. This is quite possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to.
Très belle établissement dans le vieux Montréal...où nous nous sommes régalés....service impeccable & très pro.. Nombreux choix & le petit plus c'est l'orchestre qui entonne de belles mélodies.... Bonne expérience 🙂
