Bienvenue chez Japote, le restaurant rapide familial qui sert de délicieux plats depuis 2014. Notre premier emplacement était à Guy-Concordia, et nous avons déménagé à notre emplacement actuel en 2018.
Nous sommes célèbres pour notre longue file d'attente, car nous sommes devenus un choix populaire pour les étudiants de McGill à la recherche d'un repas rapide et délicieux. Nous vous invitons à venir déguster nos plats et à créer des souvenirs inoubliables avec nous !

Difficile à trouver, mais la file indique que c'est apprécié.
Les portions sont toutefois très petites. J'aurais aimé qu'on me suggère d'ajouter des légumes à mon plat pour compléter (ce qui aurait sans doute augmenté ma facture à un prix encore raisonnable). Je n'ai eu qu'un peu de poulet sur du riz collant - plutôt bon, mais j'avais faim 3 heures plus tard.

Wow wow wow! Friendly staff, quick service & delicious food for cheap! This place is a beautiful hidden gem. I recommend the oyakodon, & don't forget to bring cash. Also, I recommend that you come early to avoid the line of hungry students :)Voir plus

find the escalators & head down twice, following the signs will bring you to this downtown gem!!! they only take CASH so please come prepared as their opening window is quite small! the pricing is not something you see often, it's affordable, realistic & absolutely a bang for your buck! Extremely affordable & delicious simple Japanese lunch fare. Very friendly & happy staff slinging succulent staples. Clearly the all-star of the basement food court it is located in. As a large & hungry man, I always shell out the extra $1 or $2 for a "large" portion so that I never leave hungry. Make sure to add the complimentary sauces & tsukemono (pickles). I can't wait to return again & again to the smiling staff & tasty hot lunch. They offer a rewards card too, further increasing the already great value that this establishment offers.Voir plus

I've been wanting to try Japote for a while after a friend recommended it but due to its opening hours it was really tough. I went at 11:30 & it was really busy. The food is really good & so are the prices. I got 2 plates because I knew it would be tough to come again so I took the opportunity to try multiple things. It's much cheaper when you order only one plate. They only accept cash. Even though the line was long, it moved quickly, the food & service were very good!Voir plus

A favorite place for me to get wonderful & authentic Japanese food for years now. Filling dishes from friendly staff that really make me feel like I'm in a food court in Tokyo. I particularly like the kakiage & korokke! Inexpensive & with a good value point card, too. It is in a food court under a bank, so it doesn't have the most ambience, but it's still a hidden gem for those in the know in the area.Voir plus

The food is simply amazing. I love everything I have tried from Japote. I really love how their prices are student friendly, as you can eat lunch for 10$ (they only serve at lunchtime, mon-fri) I recommend you order the large option of the dish (the price will remain below 10$) but feel full enough.
