Shared the assorted smoked meat platter with sides. Loved the ribs & homemade bbq sauces. We got to meet the owner & visit the huge smoker. He had us taste the best bite of bbq OMG! We now have to come back & eat the brisket on the bread topped with a pickle & some pickled onions! He took the time to answer all my newbie smoker owner husband's questions, that was above & beyond of him. The owner's passion for BBQ is contagious. Thank you so much Cédrick for that wonderful experience! See you soon!
This place makes you feel as if you had taken a plane down to Texas, including the famous southern hospitality. We even got a tour of the fumoir. As one enters the decor gets you in the mood. The aroma of the food is enebriating. But once you get served the magic starts for real. The ribs, the pork belly, the brisket, oh the brisket!!! Everything is so masterfully cooked. The meats melt in your mouth 😋😋😋 I think our family has found our new favorite spot. Highly recommended!
Definitely not the place for takeout. After eye banging the food on their Instagram we went to eat! Super excited by the videos we saw, the ambiance etc.. we figured why not. The pricing is wild, for $50 I can't say it was justifiable for the spend. The juicy succulent brisket promised was dry, slightly over salty & the ribs were decent but not something I'd write home about. They offered no sauce for the takeout but seem to have it for free if you dine in, might have been a good way to mask how dry my brisket was...genuinely felt like I was eating leftovers... Ribs were just ok...plenty better at the rib fest for far less, sides & ambiance included. After being very excited, it was very much a disappointing experience.
Went May 31st for a Bday & we ordered their Jack flat experience. When food Arrived We got 3 Slices of Turkey , 4 Rib(Single Bone - Not a Rack) 4 Thinly Sliced brisket & 1 Slice of Bread. Keeping in Mind that we are 4 People , & are expected to share 1 Slice of Bread among 4 People. Definitely not worth the $240 + Tax we spent + We Were Still hungry
Atmosphere is awesome ! Id come back for drinks beers some appetizers... to come for full blown bbq meal over priced for the quality & quantity its not had but not amazing.. really cool place for Laval . The $50 meal per person wasnnt worth it , especially a little thing of fries for 4 people to share lol makes no sense .. its fries ! St louis ribs were pretty good probably best thing i ate & the bees rib .. but the brisket wasnt good at all was over cooked or maybe was reheated 100% ! Brisket not supposed to be beige or grey gotta be pinky color on the red side this was dry & reheated. Would i come back? Yeah definitely gorgeous place drinks & bites for me . I think this place had potential with the food . Be more generous & give fresh thats all u gotta do , no cutting corners & thats what most restos are doing these days.
The hype was placed high before eating here. Someone told me that this place was "the place" - my expectations were high but unfortunately I have to say they weren't ... the food is ok but not "wow" - ribs were just basic, the burger was good, cauliflower had a taste that just rolled around in my mouth. The service was great & so was the ambience ... live music & hype crowd ... I'll probably go back but won't be my first choice
J'aurai donné une note de 3.5 étoiles. AMBIANCE décontracté qui nous ramène réellement au farwest! Le service était excellent , la serveuse était très réactive & très courtoise.Au niveau de la cuisine parcontre...Le plateau à 49$ par personnes manque d'accompagnement & de viande à mon humble avis.Le brisket devrait avoir sa petite sauce au jus(c'est un most dans le texas bbq). Le piment enrobé de bacon est extrêmement piquent & on à de la difficulté à le manger.Il faudrait nous donner l'option de changer le piment pour un cornichons farcie.Le porc belly était excellent(Glitch: Mélanger les avec les frites). Les ribs étaient digne d'un texas bbq. Il doivent remplacer la tranche de pain jaune par du Cornbread ou un autre met parceque le pain est sec & on sait pas avoir quoi le manger.& finalement rajouter des fèves au lard pour bien terminer le repas.Des changement simples qui vont ajouter du piquant à l'expérience JackFlat.Overall , c'est un bon restaurant! J'invite les gens à y aller entre amis vous risquez de passer un bon moment.
Miguel nous a offert un service impecable pour etre honnete le meilleur service que j'ai eu sans parler du smash burger completement debile jamais manger un aussi bon que celui-si avec les nacho au ribs que nous n'avons pas ete capable de finir la viande etais simplement parfaite rien a dire mes reserver l'attente est longue etant parti de sherbrooke sa en vallais vraiment la peine 2h de route & 2h d'attente je ne regrette aucunement hate qu'il ouvre a sherbrooke mon nouveau restaurant préfére
Can't get enough of jack flat bbq. This time, I tried another hidden menu item. Smash burger poutine. It's literally what it says. Take a smash burger without the bread & put it on a poutine. It was good! I don't like mayo (or that type of sauce) in a poutine though so because of that I didn't like it as much as the Mac tex poutine but it was still good. As always, I always overeat when I come here because I want to try everything (& I never succeed to try everything cause there's just so much to try). Buffalo chicken wings are very good & the pop corn Nashville chicken pair so good with them. & the smash burger double cheese bacon. I would says it's one, if not the best burger I ever eat. It seems small, but it's filling. I'm a burger person, I do judge a place by there burger. Rare I go somewhere that serve burger & don't take it (specially on my first go). & jack flat is just in another category. Now don't get me wrong, it's not gourmet style burger (& I hate gourmet burger anyway, I don't want a fancy burger that cost 50$ because the chef drizzle gold on it, I want a burger that taste wonderful). This is a true backyard bbq burger that is perfectly season, perfectly cooked, perrectly smokes, perfect all the way. Just enough fat so it's tasty like it should. I ate in the past the poutine Mac tex. This is my normal go to. It's a Mac tex Mac & cheese on top of a poutine with brisket. It's just amazing. I took also the cheddar saucage as a starter plate. It's per serving so the price is for 1 saucage. It was very good. Oh & did I talked about the two homemade bbq sauce that's available directly at the table next to the ketchup & red-hot? These things are marvelous. Paired with any meat, you can't go wrong. I had people with me that never put any sauce just going back for more. If these sauce were available in grocery store, it would always be sold out. The place is crowded, specially on Friday & Saturday but I don't think there's a night that this place is not jammed packed. I've tried various day & it'd always very busy, & it's not for nothing, you want to come back. Friday & Saturday, you can make reservation for less than 4 if you call but places do go fast. You can try walk in but be prepare for a wait. I already waited 2h30 for a table on a Saturday night. I was prepare to wait, I wanted to eat here, I didn't made a reservation so I knew that walking at 7pm was a mistake. But it was worth the wait. The service is phenomenal. They will guide you, help you, be very friendly, it's just good to be there. Oh, you can also request a tour of the smoker, it's free & very nice to see, smell & learned how the amazing food is done. There is special food each night which can be smoke meat, tomahawk, ribs, etc. & the ambiance is just a fresh different VS all other place. It's not a sports bar, it's not a pub, it's like a retro country club with a small arcade on top. The music is all country / cowboy style, often music I never heard before but just very good. There's tv if you want to look at sport event. They will put stuff like NHL games, NFL, etc. But mainly it played the video clip of the playing soundtrack. Wait, there's more. More? Yes! Nearly each night, there's an event. Karaoke? Country dance? Dance classes? Name it! Highly suggest going on their Facebook page & Instagram cause this is where they announce every event & also, every hidden item. Hidden item? Yes, there's many offering that aren't on the menu like the popcorn Nashville chicken, the wings, smash burger poutine (looks like my tonight order!) & more. You're craving meat? Smoked meat? Bbq meat? Burger? Chicken? Poutine? Anything related to that? Like some company would say just do it, it's jack flat or nothing!

Opting for the sampler platter, I embarked on a culinary journey that left me speechless. Each bite of tender ribs, succulent brisket, & heavenly pulled pork was a revelation, filling me with a sense of wonder & delight. From the warm hospitality to the rustic ambiance, every aspect of the experience was enchanting, making it a dining experience I would never forget. Would definitely recommend everyone to experience.
Simple the best place to go for smoked meat of all sorts. The ribs are off the hook. The staff is amazing. The owner Cedric does everything to make you evening memorable. Let's not forget there drinks are amazin & arround 10pm the place turns into a western dancing Saloon.

RIB saignant sur l'os,pas vue souvent ? Cuissons Bouffe pas très chaude 🤔bonne ambiance & agréable ,service (en général... l'expérience s'acquiert avec le temp ,besoin quelques top gun pour driver la relève & les twists du métier ,j'ai du allée chercher mes breuvages moi même pour gang car fesait un bout qu'il était là ,les serveuses était en pleine discussion émotionnel & pleurait au bar ... come on ... service clientèle svp ,j'espère vous preniez bien la critique car quel vous sera constructive,je n'envoie jamais de commentaire je vais plutôt brûler 1400 dollars ailleurs ..

Le seul manque à gagner serait d'avoir une meilleure variété de sauce (bbq sucré, bbq fumé, sauce piquante agrumes, etc). La nourriture était 5/5 une bonne balance de sel entre les viandes (brisket très salé, mais ribs pas beaucoup, c'était parfait). Petite inconsistance au niveau du bar entre deux même drink. L'équipe très compétente, rapide & à l'écoute. Augmenter un peu la température à l'intérieur ou même laisser un peu l'espace dégager l'odeur de bbq (on était surpris à quel point le reste ne sentait pas les viandes).

As a native Texan in Montreal, my heart was so happy with the awesome experience we had at Jack Flat! Top notch BBQ + hospitality made us feel though we were right back home in Dallas! We had the brisket & pork ribs with a couple of sides. The meats were so juicy & savory no sauce was needed - as we say back home'meat candy'! Cédrick & Darren made our 1st visit memorable! We truly enjoyed learning more about what makes their Texas-inspired BBQ so delicious & unique. We'll 100% be back again soon!
Les ribs & la brisket sont EXCELLENT ! Texture & gout c'était parfait ! J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé les Jalapeno poppers. Rabais de 10% sur la facture parce que j'allais au match du Rocket donc pour moi ça devient un incontournable d'avant match du Rocket.
Sonny, the waiter bring us some fire ribs, brisquet, smash burger & all the good sides that come with it. Recommended
