Side dishes are better then the meat, which is fine but lacks in flavor & warmth. Overpriced like all bbq places, good service & ambiance... But I cannot recommend the bbq meat. Tough ribs, ok brisket, porc belly wasn't much to write home about. Turkey was fine, you can't mess it up. The offered sauces where good.
Visited Jack Flat's on my first time in Laval's centropolis as it seemed like the most unique choice. They put the space to great use, adorning the room with lots of southern-cowboy-esque decor. They even clear space for square dancing in the evenings which was fun to see. The service was great. Lots of seating on their outdoor patio section. A very impressive drink menu with loads of fun options. As for the food menu, the variety is alright. Some good options, with the ribs probably being the top pick. The brisket was good but paled in comparison to others I've had. I'm a huge mac n cheese love so couldn't skip that, I was pleased with the level of creaminess. Doesn't come close to real Southern BBQ but for Quebec, it will do.
First impression was it was super country decided & well lit up inside. You gotta reserve in advance though as this place is super busy & lines go outside to her in if you don't réserve. I w had the pork belly, ribs, brisket & potatoes it was SOOOOOO good - just like what you'd eat in Tennessee, Texas. My only complaint is that I wanted more drinks & the waitress was busy obviously with the crazy amount of people !
Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere!! Love the food the meats were all good whit a smoky flavor & fall apart. We ordered the rodeo tasting menu for 3 which the server explained really well how it worked. However when we got the food we got a platter whit some smash burgers ( wich we dint order) Whit the platter or meats. We let the server know tht we dint get this but since they had alrdy dropped the food & we ate some fries from them they coudnt take it back. The server let us know tht we got somebody's else order & brought us the alrdy forgotten mac & chesse. Later while eathing we realised we only had one piece of meat each, one rib piece & one slab of brisket. We later asked the waitress if the order we got was truly ours but she assured us we got more than enought food for 3. All this to say we woudve loved to seen wht we woudve got instead of the burgers maybe they coudve replaced it whit the actuall sides the dish comes whit as we dint really want 2 burgers ( in wauch were 3 not even 2). Anyways loved the food tho if I would to go back would be just for some meat by pound & not the tasting menu.

wow . super bon resto . brisket sublime mac & cheese surprenant . nous avons eu le menu de groupe donc on a gouter a plusieurs viande/a coté dont salade ceasar , gauffre au maïs , feve , frite ect drink varié & tres bon 👍 nous y retournons certain .
Awesome date night. Shared the assorted smoked meat platter with sides. Loved the ribs & homemade bbq sauces. We got to meet the owner & visit the huge smoker. He had us taste the best bite of bbq OMG! We now have to come back & eat the brisket on the bread topped with a pickle & some pickled onions! He took the time to answer all my newbie smoker owner husband's questions, that was above & beyond of him. The owner's passion for BBQ is contagious. Thank you so much Cédrick for that wonderful experience! See you soon!
Quel dommage Point positif : il avait l'air d'avoir une bonne ambiance les chapeau de Cowboys etc... C'est vraiment bien décoré. le concept fumoir vraiment bien . point négatif : Malheureusement là où ça tombe, c'est la cuisine J'ai pris une brisket sèche 👎 mais sèche le gras visqueux ! ce qui est le fun dans cette cuisson, c'est que quand tu as une viande de qualité le gras est ferme & dans la bouche ça fond ce qui amène beaucoup plus de goût à la viande ! & la j'ai pris une purée de pommes de terre elle était vraiment bonne 👍 au final 35$.
Went yesterday for my friends birthday the place was packed! Great atmosphere & ambiance the only thing that got me a little disappointed was the speed of the service & the food. I ordered the brisket & mac & cheese the brisket was good but it was a little tough & it came cold... The mac & cheese was good also but there was nacho cheese on the top which in my opinion threw off the flavour completely & it was also too much going on way too heavy it was good for the first couple of bites but after it became a task to finish A little disappointing for the price as well. Why no corn bread? It's a Texas BBQ restaurant & we get a piece of toast with the meal why not actual corn bread? Lol

J'ai pas encore goûter au brisket MAIS j'ai goûter à mes PREMIERS shootters (un pickleback & une tequila) Aussi goûter à leur cuisine IRRÉSISTIBLE, le personnel (y compris Claudine) était COOL, les arcades pour passer le temps & JAMAIS j'était S! sociable QU'AVANT❣️❣️❣️ Si ça vous intéresse, ÇA SERAIT LA PLACE QUE JE VOUS RECOMMANDERAI❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️😉😍🤩
This place makes you feel as if you had taken a plane down to Texas, including the famous southern hospitality. We even got a tour of the fumoir. As one enters the decor gets you in the mood. The aroma of the food is enebriating. But once you get served the magic starts for real. The ribs, the pork belly, the brisket, oh the brisket!!! Everything is so masterfully cooked. The meats melt in your mouth 😋😋😋 I think our family has found our new favorite spot. Highly recommended!

I went on a Saturday night without a reservation. We sat at the bar first to wait for a table outside since the inside was already reserved. The service by Claudie was amazing, super fast with the drinks & food. The country music was a plus, after we sat outside to eat & the line dance started, it was super fun. Next time I would make a reservation. The food was good, I had a brisket poutine (the brisket was a bit cold but the hot sauce went well so it didn't ruin my experience)
Sérieusement, le service a été excellent de la porte jusqu'à la table. Tout le monde est de bonne humeur & accueillant. Merci d'avoir pris le temps d'expliquer le concept du menu (idéal pour partager des gros plats à $49 par personne, sinon tout est à la carte avec choix d'accompagnement). Les drinks sont très variés avec un gros buck & tu peux partir avec. Facile pour réserver aussi. Le smash burger avec fromage & bacon était si délicieux (poutine classique en accompagnement). Le brisket était excellent aussi. Mention spéciale pour notre serveuse Maude - très gentille.

Definitely not the place for takeout. After eye banging the food on their Instagram we went to eat! Super excited by the videos we saw, the ambiance etc.. we figured why not. The pricing is wild, for $50 I can't say it was justifiable for the spend. The juicy succulent brisket promised was dry, slightly over salty & the ribs were decent but not something I'd write home about. They offered no sauce for the takeout but seem to have it for free if you dine in, might have been a good way to mask how dry my brisket was...genuinely felt like I was eating leftovers... Ribs were just ok...plenty better at the rib fest for far less, sides & ambiance included. After being very excited, it was very much a disappointing experience.
I recently tried the brisket at Jack Flat BBQ. The brisket was perfectly smoked, tender, & full of flavor. Each bite melted in my mouth, & the rich smoky taste left me craving for more. The portion size was generous, & the meat was incredibly juicy. The service was excellent, & the atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall experience. I highly recommend trying the brisket to anyone looking for a mouthwatering BBQ experience. I will definitely be returning for more!

Bonjour, nous avons tenté l'expérience Jack Flat: La viande est excellente 😋 L'alcool, ça semble très bien! Les sauces sont excellentes 💯 La musique est BEAUCOUP trop forte pour entamer une discussion avec les gens à la table & le serveur ne comprenait ABSOLUMENT RIEN... (on ne s'attendait pas à un 5 services dans un restaurant plus sur la thématique country! Je vous rassure) Le service était cahotique, mais rapide après commande... On auraient pu vraiment sortir sans payé si on aurait pas attendu & demandé 3 fois pour payer chaque couple...(on étaient une douzaine) 😅 (On nous a mentionné que le serveur était nouveau, on peux comprendre, mais faut pas exagérer... il disparaissait) Son point positif : il a fait une bonne recommandation avec un drink. Points négatifs : il comprenait RIEN & nous a fait 2 factures séparées en nous disant qu'il pouvait pas refaire la facture en une... on lui a mentionné un nombre incalculable de fois en plus... on a été trop gentil de lui laisser son pourboire... mais en tant que serveuse, nous savons que c'est important de laisser un pourboire au minimum 15%... Petite recommandation : la viande sur les nachos serait meilleure chaude, au moins. 💯 L'ambiance est festive, les gens on l'air de bien s'amuser & la danse en ligne est une bonne idée, la piste de dance est à agrandir! C'est vraiment une idée intéressante. 😁 Il ne faut pas se faire avoir sur le fonctionnement du menu, il faut être bien renseigné! Les prix sont bons & à jour pour la viande selon moi. Malheureusement, je n'y retournerais pas à moins de pouvoir prendre en take-out. Nous avons manger la poutine & les nachos Brisket. À essayer au moins une fois même si vous aimé les restaurants plus calme.
Went May 31st for a Bday & we ordered their Jack flat experience. When food Arrived We got 3 Slices of Turkey , 4 Rib(Single Bone - Not a Rack) 4 Thinly Sliced brisket & 1 Slice of Bread. Keeping in Mind that we are 4 People , & are expected to share 1 Slice of Bread among 4 People. Definitely not worth the $240 + Tax we spent + We Were Still hungry
