2024: the Sleigh my Name was great, kinda like a holiday margarita. The Nog Bomb tasted just like Egg Nog but there is definitely alcohol in there. The steak with the lobster shrimp crab topping was great. Even the vegetables were good. The potatoes could have used some salt & seasoning though. Guacamole appetizer was okay, nice chips & salsa but could season the guacamole more. Sticky toffee pudding was made well, way too heavy on the ice cream though. Fun decor for December. Attentive service. 2023: Whiskey business was a great cocktail. The chicken & bowtie pasta with the bacon & mushrooms was delicious. Mango mojito wasn't mixed well with all the sweetness at the bottom. Vanilla cold brew just tasted like Kahlua. Brownie baked into a cookie was delicious but really should be served with ice cream like other places. Usually play good music, fun decor. Nice terrasse. Service was friendly & efficient.View more

Always a good time at Jack Astor's. We've been coming to this location for over 20 years & have yet to have a bad meal! Had the Chicken finger this time & they were delicious as always. We just had an amazing night at Jack Astor's. We have been coming here for over 10 years & the experience has only gotten better. We had the beef nachos, chicken tacos, honey garlic chicken wings, & the garlic pan bread. Everything was cooked to perfection. Wings were saucy & crispy, nachos were cheesy & crunchy. The garlic bread was absolutely delicious as always. We were told the kitchen is under new management & if the food we had tonight was any indication it's going in the right direction. They have decorated for Christmas & the ambiance is wonderful & festive. Our server (shout out to Julia) was absolutely fantastic, very attentive & helpful. We always go to Jack Astor's for our family birthdays but tonight was really special. Our waitress for the evening was Peggy & she just happens to have the same birthday as our Grandma! We got to celebrate together 😁 she gave us excellent service. Always pleasant, smiling, great sense of humor! She was great at coming by regularly to check on but also giving us a chance to eat & chat ✅✅✅ had lots of favourite meals around the table, but my grandpa also tried the Asian wonton tacos with chicken & was extremely happy with his meal. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the fries were great as always. & had some DEELISH desserts 😃 extremely happy with our service this evening. We were visiting from out of Province & had to check out the Dorval location. Dylan was our server & he approached us with a bilingual greeting which we appreciated. He was attentive & thorough. My husband & I go to Jack's on a regular basis & we are always satisfied with the food, drinks & the amazing friendly service we get from the staff. Friendly vibe & good food. We like the bar section for coziness & the comfortable seats in the booth section. Chicken burgers, burgers, lobster dips are our go to. Best chicken wings in Montreal, really. Staff is always cheery, if it's your birthday watch out. They have a special surprise for you. So my dad & I decided to have our monthly restaurant night recently & we decided to go to Jask Astors. We haven't gone there since the pandemic hit in 2020 so it's was about time we came back. We were expecting to have some good food there but we were pretty disappointed. Here is my breakdown on how rate everything. Food - ⭐️⭐️ We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana from the menu. The meal consisted of a piece of chicken with tomato sauce & melted cheese on top & a side of pasta with cream & tomato sauces. The meal is very mediocre. Pasta was a bit under-seasoned & chicken felt like it was deep fried. Cheese was barely melted on said piece of chicken. If your expecting a more traditional style of "chicken parm" do not go here. Also note the price for the meal was $25 & it was a smaller portion than what you would see at other restaurants for the same price or for a little cheaper. Service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our waitress was nice, respectful & understanding of our requests to improve our experience. No real complaints for the service. However, I am not giving the service 5 stars as it was not over & beyond, just your typical good service. Atmosphere - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere was typical for Jask Astor's, no real complaints here aswell. However, it's does not help that the place was pretty empty when we went. In total: Food: ⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Average rating 3.3333/5 (Rounded to ⭐️⭐️⭐️) Extra notes: I do not recommend going here for food here really. If your going out for some drinks, this place is not bad to go to. (Though drinks are a bit expensive here) They have a decent sized bar, plenty of TV's if you want to watch any sports games that are on.View more

Today I went for the first time to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. The service was a little slow ( short in staff). & honestly the food wasn't good. Chicken was salty, with no taste. Usually it should be marinated when is grilled. It felt i am eating boiled chicken. For the price I paid I didn't get the quality i expected. I was really disappointed for the food since it was my birthday. The only thing I liked was the drink. I don't recommend this restaurant.
