This place is amazing ! I had a reservation & I didn't had to wait, as soon as I got there I was seated at a table. The place is nice well decorated. The drinks were really good, made by Alex who I had the chance to be served by at the bar, gave me strong recommendations ! The manager Shelly is super sweet I made so many change to my order & she was patient & understanding. The staff is truly what make the place great, on top of the food & the service. A must is the sake bomb which is the house speciality. A special thanks to, charlotte my waitress, who gave an excellent service, they kept talking about a certain Anthony guy, but I have no clue who that is, must be someone important or no.
Recommend this place 10/10.View more
The best izakaya in Montreal. Great selection of food & drinks. Feel good & joyous ambiance.View more
I've been going here for over a decade & love it so much. A few dishes have disappeared, but everything on the menu is excellent. I have never been disappointed with a drink or food choice. Some of my top three favorites are Korokke, Yaki ika Grilled Squid 🐙 & Imadake Yakiniku. Honorable mentionable also are the tako wasbi, edamame & tako Karaage. The service is fantastic. The servers are always fun; the hostess is always Inviting & kind. I think they deserve raises & a pat on the back for how good of experience they go out of their way to provide.View more
Very generous & nice staff. & the food & drinks were delicious!View more
Wow, this place was incredible. Great service, super tasty food, we got the ribeye & the hot stone to cook it on was fun. Also had the albacore with wasabi vinaigrette & the pork belly skewers with bbq sauce. Delicious! The hello kitty drink was pureed magic. The complimentary hot tea was nice since it was cold & wet outside. Definitely recommend Imadake!View more
A Wonderful Japanese Izakaya. Delicious food, variety of drink options, sake bombs, great atmosphere. Coat check at the front for easy sitting (chairs do not have backs but are very comfortable). All the staff are amazing. Cant wait to stop back next time I'm in town. Recommend!View more

A lively Japanese Restaurant-Bar where the ambiance is festive & carefree. Great shots of sake with drinks & the octopus balls remind me of my trip to JapanView more
a good place to chat, drink. But the background music was a little bit noisy. The ramen is too little. The karage is pretty good.View more
Me & my boyfriend went there 2 times already. The food is overall quite good, I had beef tongue for the first time of my life, it was tasty, the grilled calamari were okay, the ramen soup was quite nice, the broth had a lot of taste. For the drinks we had 3 cocktails from their cocktail menu, their Long Island ice tea, was mostly tasting gin with some floral infusion. Overall we had a great night, it’s worth the stop for the ambiance as well!View more

really happening, cool food, fast, cool drinks, cool staff!
Located right next to the AMC, (dinner & a movie anyone?), Imadake (meaning: "only for you," geez, blush, for me? thanks dudes) does what it's meant to do, that is serve you a large selection of drink & snack, very well. We settled on a few of the usual suspects to see if their versions of the more standard dishes are up to scratch. They are.
As a takoyaki (essentially octopus balls, well not octopus balls, but ball-shaped snacks with octopus inside) fan, I was thrilled with their authentic flavour. Thrilled, I tells ya - from the batter to the aonori (green laver) & bonito shavings, perfection!

Best word to describe this restaurant is madness.
If this website had an ambiance/atmosphere rating, Imadake would be on the top list. It is so loud. Went there on a Thursday with a group, the restaurant was flooded with people. Everyone's shouting SAKE BOMB! all the time, the staff cheers & drinks & seems to lose control but still keeps it running.
The menus are a bit messy to understand since you're dealing with traditional Japanese finger food but you just order random stuff & it's always ranks from edible to delicious. Takoyaki dish is a must, & at 25$/bottle of hot saké, it is so cheap to get the party started.
Note : For big groups make the reservation a few days in advance, & make it around 8pm or later. Otherwise there might be a group scheduled after you.
