Food is very tasty but choices are limited & portions are small. A fun atmosphere for 25 to 35 yr olds. You can do shots that are balanced on chopsticks & then fall into a glass of beer.

Located across Alexis Nihon/Atwater, they're known for their sake bombs. The experience was quite a party scene! Me & my friends ordered sake bombs & they bring it to you, instructs how it works, then they chant loudly with you until you bang the table & your sake drops in the beer. We loved the sake bomb ritual!

While the food was mid (consensus from all of my friends), their matcha cheesecake is delicious & so are their cocktails. Service was a bit slow because it was packed & we had to remind some of our orders. However, the ambience was cozy & a bit loud (as expected on a weekend). I enjoyed my birthday party (& experience) there. Overall, recommended to RSVP in advanced as it can get packed & it's a cute spot for dates or informal hangouts!

I keep coming back! This is one of my favourite places in Montreal. I keep coming back for birthdays, or just an evening with my mother.

The bartender, Sacha, makes the best cocktails. The plum wine is a must. The menu is extensive & always has news unique things like a octopus tartare or a seaweed salad (which I recommend if you want a fun twist on salads).

I highly HIGHLY recommend the matcha cheesecake. I keep coming back just for that & end up finding new menu things I adore. The ramen carbonara is amazing. The raspberry cheese goat skewers are so original & delicious. Their Japanese fries seems simple at first but, with a beer, they are divine.

I recommend going with a friends & getting a lot of things to share. The portions seem small, but that's the point; you get different things to share & try. Trust me, this is not a place to miss in Montreal.

Imadake Izakaya: A Vibrant Tapestry of Grilled Enchantment

Tucked within a leisurely stroll from the Atwater metro station, Imadake Izakaya beckons as an authentic haven of Japanese gastronomy & the convenience of abundant paid parking in close proximity ensures a seamless journey.

While a series of steps grace the entrance, it's worth noting that the absence of wheelchair accessibility is a limitation that gently underscores the spirited aura within.

As you step across the threshold, a symphony of boisterous patrons enraptured in their culinary indulgence welcomes you. The bustling energy weaves an intoxicating atmosphere that authentically embodies the izakaya experience.

Amidst this lively canvas, the establishment stands as a paragon of efficient staffing. Despite the joyful chaos, the service remains an embodiment of excellence. Our server gracefully navigated the dance of orders, ensuring our dining sojourn flowed seamlessly as we delighted in multiple rounds of exquisite fare.

The journey through flavors was nothing short of poetic. Grilled seafood & meats emerged as orchestrated symphonies of taste, each morsel perfected to achieve the zenith of succulence & flavor. The 1-liter Sapporo beer, cradled in a chilled, thick glass mug, retained its frosty allure-a small detail that speaks volumes about the meticulous care woven into every aspect.

The embrace of warm sake added an exquisite layer of comfort, a delightful elixir that kindled warmth within.

Imadake Izakaya radiates as a luminous star within Montreal's culinary constellation. It isn't just about the culinary offerings-it's an orchestration of ambiance, service, & flavors that elegantly dance together.

Every element of Imadake Izakaya is imbued with distinction, a testament to a commitment to excellence that resonates in every bite & sip. Amidst this orchestration, a reasonable price point underscores the dedication to offering an exceptional experience within easy reach.

In honor of its profound impact on both palate & spirit, Imadake Izakaya is unequivocally deserving of a well-earned five-star rating. As steadfast patrons, we eagerly anticipate the continuation of this enchanting culinary journey, savoring the vivacious experience that awaits with every visit.

Amazing Japanese restaurant with great beer & even better food. Think more like tapas style with a ton of shareable plates & the best ramen I've ever had!

Sake bombs are really fun to do as a group & the cold pint beers will quench your alcohol thirst. However, the food is waaaay over priced for what you get. No value to be had here but you will get the vibes.

Great ambiance. Definitely lively & the place to go if you want to have a good time with friends. The menu takes some explanation but everything I've tried was excellent. As a fan of Sapporo (for those who are not familiar, it's a japanese beer), it is only natural that I am drawn to this place. The edemame is the perfect finger food to have along with a beer or saké bomb (which is surprisingly good).
