Imadake Izakaya suscite des avis partagés mais majoritairement positifs, avec une ambiance festive et souvent très animée et un service qui peut être rapide en période d affluence mais parfois lent lorsque le restaurant est plein. L ambiance peut être bruyante et adaptée aux groupes et aux sorties entre amis, ce qui peut déplaire pour un rendez-vous plus calme. Le personnel est globalement sympathique et attentif, avec une efficacité qui varie selon l affluence, et l emplacement près d Alexis Nihon est pratique, d ou l importance de réserver. Dans l ensemble, Imadake Izakaya offre une expérience japonaise festive avec une grande variété de plats et de boissons à partager entre amis ou en groupe, en acceptant le cadre animé et les portions qui peuvent varier.
Je suis allé célébrer ma fête à Imadake & c'était honnêtement une super expérience! L'ambiance est hyper festive & parfaite pour un groupe d'amis. Les serveurs sont vraiment énergiques & participent à l'ambiance surtout quand ils font les fameux sake bombs, 🍶💣c'est vraiment fun.
La nourriture était excellente, surtout les petits plats à partager. On a essayé plusieurs choses & tout était savoureux & bien présenté. Mention spéciale aux entrées & aux plats frits qui étaient incroyables.
Le resto est assez animé (donc un peu bruyant), mais ça fait vraiment partie de l'expérience izakaya & ça rend la soirée encore plus festive. Si vous cherchez un endroit pour célébrer un anniversaire ou passer une soirée amusante entre amis, je recommande vraiment!
Le menu donne l'envie de tout prendre comme les entrées & les plats à partager. Les cocktails sont aussi délicieux, mais comme vous vous en doutez cela fait monter le prix de la facture assez rapidement 🧾
Located across Alexis Nihon/Atwater, they're known for their sake bombs. The experience was quite a party scene! Me & my friends ordered sake bombs & they bring it to you, instructs how it works, then they chant loudly with you until you bang the table & your sake drops in the beer. We loved the sake bomb ritual!
While the food was mid (consensus from all of my friends), their matcha cheesecake is delicious & so are their cocktails. Service was a bit slow because it was packed & we had to remind some of our orders. However, the ambience was cozy & a bit loud (as expected on a weekend). I enjoyed my birthday party (& experience) there. Overall, recommended to RSVP in advanced as it can get packed & it's a cute spot for dates or informal hangouts!

Finally found a good Japanese pub where they serve sake bombs & play the role! Absolute must go. Kind of in the middle of nowhere but thankfully it's close to the metro & Alexis nihon mall. Has a little something for everyone. Highly recommend the carbonara udon. Have a go at the octopus tartare if you're daring! 100% coming back here again. Make sure to share plates!

Nous sommes allés un dimanche soir. Malgré que ce coin de la rue Sainte-Catherine n'est pas le plus accueillant, le restaurant l'était! Superbes murales & décorations en général.
Les 4 employés avec qui nous avons intéragi étaient sympathiques & professionnels.

Avec ma fiancée, nous avons pris le gyoza de porc, le tartare de saumon, le ramen kuromayu (qui vient avec une pâte épicée séparée pour épicer selon les goûts), la morue & la sangria laichi no hana.
Tout était délicieux mais gros coup de coeur pour la morue & le ramen!!
Facture de 144$ avec pourboire & nous avons très biwen mangé & bu!
I keep coming back! This is one of my favourite places in Montreal. I keep coming back for birthdays, or just an evening with my mother.
The bartender, Sacha, makes the best cocktails. The plum wine is a must. The menu is extensive & always has news unique things like a octopus tartare or a seaweed salad (which I recommend if you want a fun twist on salads).
I highly HIGHLY recommend the matcha cheesecake. I keep coming back just for that & end up finding new menu things I adore. The ramen carbonara is amazing. The raspberry cheese goat skewers are so original & delicious. Their Japanese fries seems simple at first but, with a beer, they are divine.
I recommend going with a friends & getting a lot of things to share. The portions seem small, but that's the point; you get different things to share & try. Trust me, this is not a place to miss in Montreal.

This place is amazing ! I had a reservation & I didn't had to wait, as soon as I got there I was seated at a table. The place is nice well decorated. The drinks were really good, made by Alex who I had the chance to be served by at the bar, gave me strong recommendations ! The manager Shelly is super sweet I made so many change to my order & she was patient & understanding. The staff is truly what make the place great, on top of the food & the service. A must is the sake bomb which is the house speciality. A special thanks to, charlotte my waitress, who gave an excellent service, they kept talking about a certain Anthony guy, but I have no clue who that is, must be someone important or no. Recommend this place 10/10.
Superbe endroit avec une ambiance festive & chaleureuse! Le Happy Hour est un bon moment pour découvrir les Sake Bomb!! Le service & le personnel sont excellents! Les plats sont beaux & la nourriture est délicieuse! Très belle expérience, je recommande!

La nourriture est savoureuse & l'ambiance est bonne. Le mieux fut le service. Les serveurs travaillent ensemble pour offrir le meilleur service possible. Toujours souriant & le verre d'eau froid rempli avant meme de le finir. Je recommande.
Les ramens sont extraordinaires !! le bouillon est savoureux, le seul point négatif est au niveau du service. Les serveurs & serveuses étaient très sympathiques & avaient de bons conseils/recommandations, mais peu présents. Nous avons beaucoup attendu pour de l'eau pendant le repas & nous avons du interpeller plusieurs serveurs & serveuses pour avoir du service.
This is my second time her, first time was in 2020 during the pandemic & I absolutely loved the experience the first time. Tonight is the second time, & the experience/ambiance/service as a whole has been AMAZING. The food was CRAZY GOOD, the atmosphere was Energizing & the service was maybe ONE OF THE BEST I've ever had in a long time since the pandemic. Our waiter Tyler, kept amazing attention to our needs, kepts asking if we needed anything else & overall took our night experience to the NEXT LEVEL. He apologized about the wait, which wasn't even bad in my opinion, but made sure to always make us feel prioritized & seen even if we arrived at peek time in a Friday night. I can't recommend this place enough, the quality of the foods & the service was excellent & WAY MORE than what we expected, taking in consideration that the prices where pretty LOW, the food quality was HIGH & that the waiter was EXTREMELY attentive to our needs. Thank you to Tyler & all the staff member that where present tonight, our night was taken to the next level because of this whole experience with you guys.

We just ate here as a group of six before a movie at the forum. Great food (tasty & fresh), service & atmosphere & they accommodated us even though we were on a time crunch. We had a mix of the specials, ramen, grilled & fried stuff & everything was good. Would recommend & would be back.
the waiters are super friendly & fun (especially that one guy i forgot his name). i think that their appetizers are the highlight, definitely recommend the takoyaki, the ebi tempura & their potato korokke. their presentation? on top. i also suggest their grilled squid, & their katsu curry if they still have it. oh & you CANNOT MISS their homemade matcha cheesecake. it's so creamy & perfectly sweet. imadake izakaya is the perfect place to catch up with friends over dinne
Amazing food, probably my new favorite Izakaya in Montreal. Food was very fresh & tasty, we had the Okonomiyaki, ramen, takoyaki & Japanese fries. Very authentic feel to the place, the whole kitchen staff is Japanese & everyone welcomes you with a « irasshaimse » when you come in. Our waitress Min was a sweetheart & I recommend asking for her if you go 💕 restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but trust me it's worth a try. Will be back for sure!
I took my boyfriend out for his birthday & we absolutely loved it! Our server Ben was fun to talk to & they have the best French fries!! Definitely recommend!
Wow, this place was incredible. Great service, super tasty food, we got the ribeye & the hot stone to cook it on was fun. Also had the albacore with wasabi vinaigrette & the pork belly skewers with bbq sauce. Delicious! The hello kitty drink was pureed magic. The complimentary hot tea was nice since it was cold & wet outside. Definitely recommend Imadake!
