The service was disappointing, instead of placing the'special' knives for cutting pizza on the table as normal restaurants do, our waiter all but threw the knife on the table & handed the knife to the person sitting across from me. People in my group observed that our server was visibly impatient & that we should hurry up to order (we had sat down less than 10 minutes ago).
During our visit, the manager was yelling at another server for at least 20 minutes. I was trying to enjoy a nice dinner with my family, but instead it felt as though I was on the tv show hell's kitchen having to listen to the staff argue & yell loudly.
The food was mediocre at best, the pizza's tasted as though they were frozen pizza's from the grocery store that had been re-heated in a regular oven, very disappointing since these were $29 pizza's. Again, considering the price point of each dish, & the subpar quality of the food, I would not recommend this establishment.View more
Don't say you want to share. Divide your own meals on your plates & save five dollars. Seems a bit sneaky the way they offer it, but it is stated on the menu about the charge. We also waited a long time to be served after we arrived.
Can't beat the view from the patio. Beautiful park & waterfront to enjoy. Awesome location.
Don't go to this restaurant if you like chicken. I seriously searched & couldn't find a pasta or a pizza with chicken!
The salmon pasta was incredible with a bit of Parmesan on it! The Giardino pizza was a bit bland.

Il Fornetto is a great spot for Italian food with a beautiful view of the Lachine Canal. The pizza was very delicious, with a perfect crispy crust & fresh toppings. The service was friendly & professional, but the rocket salad was overpriced for what it was, not much flavor for the cost. Still, it's a solid choice for a date night or a casual meal with friends.View more

Their pizza is to die for! Like really amazing & I don't usually love pizza in general. It's just tastes like in Napoli, Italy… yummy! Thin, crispy, but also a bit chewy, with just perfect amount of toppings, & made in the wood oven! Perfection!
We have tried everything in their menu , but my fav is eggplant parm! Omg…. It's so so freaking good!
The veal dishes are amazing & the pastas are cooked to perfect al dente. So many tasty dishes to choose from.

Resto qui se remplit tout le temps alors vaut mieux réserver. En été c'est mois compliqué vu la terrasse. Nourriture de qualité, servie rapidement. Pizza au four à bois, croûte mince & choix varié. Bonne sélection de vin. Desserts intéressants (key lime est très bonne). Café serré comme il se doit. Comptez environs 24$ par pizza. Vin au verre 12 a 15$. On y retourne. recommend.View more
The place was cozy & the food delicious but its the excellent service that our waitress gave us that puts it on our places to go back to. She was very sweet & accommodating to our 4yr old who came with us. Made sure we were seated in a corner, removed the wine glass & sharp cutlery in his area, even offered to water down the orange juice & gave him his own smaller plate to serve himself his pizza slices. Il Fornetto has been a part of my life for over 20 years-growing up, I visited often with my parents & siblings, & last night I returned with my partner. It's wonderful to see this restaurant still delivering that classic Italian experience. The food met my expectations-consistent & well-prepared, with a traditional approach to Italian cuisine. I had the Risotto al Funghi, which was creamy with a slight al dente bite, just as it should be 🙌🏽. The Polpette della Nonna were also nicely done, not overpowering with spices or garlic, making them enjoyable for all palates. Their fire oven pizza, with its thin crust, was delicious, & shall I add that the oven itself is a beautiful centerpiece. The atmosphere remains cozy & inviting, perfect for both small & larger gatherings. Service was excellent, as always-attentive & welcoming. Definitely worth the visit!View more
Our favorite place in Lachine. Very cozy place because the spot is very nice on the riverside. The food is excellent! We always make reservations on the second floor to enjoy the beautiful view .Highly recommend. Their pizza is the Best!View more
We've been coming here for 30 years & it has been consistently great. One of my downtown friends joined me there this week & he raved about it competing favourably with any "townie" spot. Just don't go during Grand Prix week or Valentine's day... way too busy. Everything on the menu is every good, & the pizza is excellent.View more
