This place is amazing, celebrated my friend's birthday last night & we really enjoyed it so much. The service was probably what made our night, our server James really was the sweetest & most attentive! Great food & drinks too, & super cute for pictures. Will definitely go back!
I just had the best time at this restaurant. I met James, the kindest server ever, who made my 20th birthday a wonderful memory. Thank you James! & I recommand this place to everyone, the food is delicious.

I had an amazing birthday supper at this cozy hidden restaurant! I ordered fettuccine with shrimp & tomato sauce, & the chef's generous amount of shrimp made me really happy. For dessert, I had a cheesecake, & it was also delicious. Finally, I appreciate the server for being attentive & kind throughout the night, which made my experience at this restaurant unforgettable & I definitely would return. Thank you so much!!
I had a birthday dinner here for my friend, & the staff were incredibly warm & welcoming. The lasagna I had was amazing, & they added pepper & cheese at the table to our preferred amount, which was a lovely touch. I also had mango gelato, which was so nice & chewy just like real mango. Overall, both the meal & dessert were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was so cozy, & I'd love to come back in the summer to enjoy the terrace next time.
James is the best server ever! He made my best friends birthday unforgettable. It was our first time here & we will definitely be back. The food was phenomenal & the vibe was immaculate ! Honestly , I have wanted to try this place for a while for its outdoor courtyard dining. As you enter the building & arrive at the Helm , no one is there to greet you . It could use a bit more charm . The courtyard is super cute & you expect that you are about to discover a hidden gem & most importantly eat an unforgettable meal . Before I begin , I want to mention that the service was exceptional. A lot of attention was given to our particular changes & requests in our order & this is something I greatly appreciate . Now the food was just ok . That part definitely needs to be worked on . It doesn't take much more to design flavors up a couple of notches. & please , if you talk about having fresh pasta , use more semolina . The pasta was not flavorful nor great quality . As for the sauces , definitely missing some Italian love , especially at the price point you're charging for those dishes . My daughter who adores lamb , would not eat her dish . You are in a great location & have the potential to do more . Glad I tried it but won't be returning . The thing that made me happy was being with my children on my birthday & their generosity.
We celebrated my dad & brother's birthday this weekend & were received by an incredibly welcoming staff. We've been to Il Cortile countless times & it NEVER disappoints. The weather was perfect which made this beautiful Italian caché garden restaurant the perfect, cozy spot for an elegant evening. Dino was the perfect host, as usual, & his team was kind, courteous, & super helpful & versatile. Everyone is always willing to help, whether it's offering to take a family photo, or switching something on the menu to accommodate us, we are very grateful for their hospitality. The food was exquisite: meatball melted in your mouth, osso bucco fell off the bone & the dessert was delectable 😋. The female server was sweet, so pleasant & genuinely attentive to our needs. We will definitely be back for more great memories! Thanks Il Cortile staff for a wonderful evening!

I had the pleasure to celebrate my 20th birthday at the cortile restaurant & it was simply amazing! Starting from the FOOD I've never ate a filet mignon well done, cooked & spiced exactly like I wanted in Montréal. The chef needs a 100/10 ⭐️. Next the service was marvellous, James & Hicham gave us the most amazing service ever in Montréal, My guests & I were all happy, we had an amazing night & we are definitely coming back!❤️
We had a group reservation for a birthday dinner in their courtyard & everything about the evening was amazing! Our waiter, I believe his name was Mansour, was very friendly & professional ! The drinks were great & the fixed menu was worth the price & offered a lot of different meals throughout the evening The terasse is beautiful & really is the highlight of the restaurant, definitely recommend eating outside while we still can! Thank you for a great evening!
Dino, the owner/manager of Il Cortile was so wonderful & made my husbands birthday party celebration with our friends & family very special. The food was delicious from the appetizers, to main course to the dessert. An extensive wine list to choose from & a lovely atmosphere. Our server (Jasmine) was so professional, kind, polite & attentive without hovering. I highly recommend Il Cortile for a lovely lunch or dinner or celebration, without hesitation. If the weather cooperates then ask for a table in the courtyard surrounded by beautiful flowers & dine al fresco. We look forward to many more meals at this Italian restaurant. Bravi Tutti!!!!!!!
I came here in the winter time to experience the indoor part of the restaurant for my birthday. The food was absolutely amazing & the service was excellent as well. I look forward to trying out the summer months as there's a beautiful ambient courtyard to eat in. Cozy indoor classic italien feel.
