We had a great time at this restaurant! We were in Montreal for the weekend for the first time & were guided to this place, & we're really glad we came.

The atmosphere was very friendly & welcoming, the food was high quality, & the service was wonderful. A special mention to the young woman who took care of us - she was extremely kind & pleasant.

I highly recommend this restaurant !!

Excellent izakay. We were a group of 5 woth children. Service was fast & friendly. The quality of the food was excellent. Make sure to have a reservation.

Excited to eat here but disappointing. I'd recommend skipping this restaurant. I've lived in Japan & eaten tons of ramen. My wife is Japanese. This is not authentic or what you want if you are looking for anything authentic. Not sure how they got a Michelin Star rating or why people would wait 30-45mins to eat here. Service was not so great. Food overpriced. Server asked us to wait in the basement near the bathrooms until a table was ready??? Should have left at that point. We ordered karaage which was the best part of our meal. It was well done but normal quality you find at any Japanese restaurant. However it was brought to our table with no plates. Had to request them. Server barely came to our table. Ramen was no where near the quality of real Japanese ramen. Chashu was diced which is weird & broth was not delicious or salty enough. Thin noodles were too thin & thick normal noodles you usually get for most ramen. Teriyaki was yummy but not salty enough. Overall disappointed with our eating experience here. Check came out to $85 which we thought was crazy high for the level of service & quality of ramen.

Well known local establishments like Ichigo Ichie can sometimes be disappointing but not in this case!

We sat upstairs above the main ramen floor (note that they are different restos with different menus). The basement is a speakeasy, main floor is ramen & top is this izakaya.

The food is phenomenal, with each plate having a unique taste & harmony of flavours.

The service was speedy, polite & we thoroughly enjoyed the quality.

The atmosphere is casual & relaxed but still chic. A perfect date spot for a couple in my opinion.

Amazing service! The food was spectacular. I took my mom to Montreal for her first time & this was our last meal. Also her first izakaya. They treated her with such kindness & she was so happy. I was in Japan for a few weeks not long ago & this is quality here. Busy, & it's no wonder why. Ten/ten recommend.

Absolute quality experience, food was top notch. Service was second to none, our server Zakary made the experience memorable & intimate. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a hidden gem that'll satisfy the whole group. 10/10 kitchen killed it, will be back next time we are in the city

Excellent all around. Really high quality ingredients. The hamachi, grilled calamari, & blackened cod were special. The Tokyo Sour was lovely. &, the staff - helpful, charming, foxy! Go to Montreal just to go to this place.

Fantastic Experience at Ichigo Ichie Izakaya! I had the pleasure of dining at Ichigo Ichie Izakaya, & it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm & inviting atmosphere set the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional evening. Our server, Cathy, was simply amazing. She was attentive, friendly, & went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Cathy's recommendations were spot on, & her genuine enthusiasm for the food made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was nothing short of delicious. Every dish was bursting with flavor, & the presentation was beautiful. It's clear that Ichigo Ichie Izakaya takes great pride in both the quality & creativity of their menu. To top it all off, we were surprised with shooters that added a fun & memorable touch to our meal. It was the perfect way to end an already wonderful dining experience. Thank you, Cathy, & the entire team at Ichigo Ichie Izakaya for a fantastic night. We can't wait to come back!

Hype hysteria. They have certain items that are pretty good but most are really average. I gave this place a 2 because the price doesn't justify the very mid quality. If you don't care much about food quality & appreciate trendy decor, then this is a good spot for you. Note that that service might be pretty slow because of how busy it is.

Amazing quality of food. We were impressed by all of the dishes, appetizers to dessert ! Note, reserve if you are able to, it makes it so much easier. Drinks were out of this word also, special mention to the Nashi & Akuma 🫶

We were there for the MTL à table menu. My partner chose the fish/meat menu options, I chose the vegetarian dishes from the menu. My partners dinner experience was (besides some lack in good service) very good, & my vegetarian dishes were not bad either, but the menu price of $58 was not appropriate at all. If the vegetarian menu option would have been between $10-20 less than the meat/fish menu, it would have been more adequate for the complexity & quality of the dish, since the first course, for example, consisted only of a few slices of vegetables in tempura while the meat option included beef carpaccio, fresh arugula & many other high quality ingredients. The tempura tasted good, but should not be sold at the same price as a high quality beef carpaccio dish. However, the restaurant ambience was very pleasant & interesting.

Was great, the staff was welcome more then tolerated my quirky mentality. The food was up to par, even if my shrimp skewer wasnt shrimp & i had a mental breakdown at the knowledge that it was actually chicken. Im still convinced the fun loving waitress (who offered us some shots at the end thanks) was lying to me (jokingly). But i did have their large bottle of warm saké. Food quality & service was on point. I've never been seated upstairs so that was new!
