La Bernard nous à offert un service personnalisé. Nous avons essayé plusieurs saké & tapas. Tout leur plat sont très bon & certains exceptionnelle & pour saké plusieurs variétés qui vont certainement vous plaire
our favorite place while visiting Montreal - all the food was excellent, service was great, highly recommend (same ramen as highly rated place next door) - also, order the veggie tempura
We booked Ichigo's upstairs room for a uni grad celebration of 20. The service was fantastic & attentive even though the main restaurant was super busy. We lucked out & had the room all to ourselves so they let us play our own music & dance!
There is a set menu for groups & each dish was top quality & super tasty. Stand outs for our group were the takoyaki, & the beef. But the absolute winner was the Gindara - black cod in yuzu miso. It was so tender with incredible flavour. Definitely Micheline worthy.
& of course there were yummy cocktails.
Thanks Anthony & crew for a very memorable evening.
Believe it or not, this was our first time dining on this side of the restaurant. We arrived right at 5 PM when the doors opened, & within minutes the restaurant was already full, with a line already formed behind us.
We loved the atmosphere. The warm wooden tables, lively energy, & izakaya-style décor made it feel like a little slice of what we imagine Japan is like, in Montréal.
The cocktails were creative, balanced, & delicious. We shared a variety of dishes, & every plate had fresh ingredients. The takowasa, in particular, had a powerful wasabi freshness.
The only downside of the evening was the service, which came with a surprisingly serious attitude & felt awkward at times, bordering on rude. Thankfully, the excellent food, drinks, & atmosphere more than made up for it.
Highly recommend Ichigo Ichie & to make a reservation in advance! My group of two tried ~7 small plates which were each uniquely flavourful & well-thought out. I was so impressed with the service staff & kitchen that was attentive & perfectly timed, managing to serve the next small plate within a few minutes of us finishing the previous one, despite the busy evening. Having the ability to see the hard working chefs keep the machine running in the back was a treat & an excellent reminder of why tipping well is so important. Favourite items were the bao (Spring menu, not pictured) & sushi! A few of their cocktails are also available as non-alcoholic, which is a nice touch for those who want to try the fun, essential flavours of the drink but without the kick.
Ramen toujours aussi bon. Bouillon très savoureux & pas gras.
On y retourne de temps en temps & c'est toujours un plaisir !
Had a really good ramen, restaurant is casual chic & the staff is the highlight #toocool
