One of my favourite restaurants in the city, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal or experience here. Chef Tiago never misses 👌🏼 the staff are all very attentive & helpful. Best Spanish food you'll try in Montreal! Salud!
Very disappointing experience from start to finish.
The restaurant itself looked nice, but unfortunately the service & overall experience completely ruined the evening.
Our server was extremely rushed the entire time to the point that he barely even understood what we were saying. We constantly felt pressured while ordering & eating, & there was no sense of hospitality or professionalism at all.
It was also very obvious that the table next to us, who spoke Spanish & were clearly more comfortable with the server, received completely different & much warmer service compared to us, which made the experience even more uncomfortable.
What made the experience even worse was being asked to pay & leave despite having a reservation, simply because they needed the table. That completely defeats the purpose of reserving in advance. Dining out should feel relaxing & enjoyable, not stressful & rushed.
Being busy is not an excuse for this kind of behavior. A professional restaurant should know how to handle busy nights while still maintaining proper service quality & treating customers with respect.
Absolutely unacceptable service. If there were an option to give zero stars, I would.
The bathroom was disgusting, there was urine all over the floor, which was extremely unsanitary.
The service was just as disappointing. Our server, a Spanish man with glasses, barely communicated with us. He did not properly explain the menu, interrupted us while we were trying to order, & seemed impatient throughout the entire experience. At one point, he spilled water on my shoes & instead of apologizing, he casually said,'It's just water.'
It was also very obvious that he was much more comfortable & attentive with the Spanish-speaking table next to us, while we were treated poorly.
What shocked me most was that despite having a reservation, we were asked to pay & leave because they needed the table(after 2 hours). What is the point of making a reservation if you are going to rush customers out? I reserved specifically to have a table available & to enjoy the experience without being pressured.
When we declined the bottle service, his attitude changed immediately, which made it feel like the quality of service depends entirely on how much money customers spend.
I have dined at much busier & far more upscale restaurants, & I have never been asked to leave. This was deeply disappointing & completely unprofessional.
I won't recommend this place to anyone!
Iberica Spanish restaurant in Montreal is a 5-star experience from entry to dessert. The decor, service, & ambiance are impeccable, Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience.
The best Spanish food I had in Canada so far, service was awesome, Gabriel guided me & my wife through the options, great experience! My favorite restaurant from now on, only place I know I'm paying for what I'm getting, quality!!
We've recently been to Barcelona, & many of dishes were as good or better than those we had in Spain! So delicious! Great atmosphere. Helpful & friendly staff... great location (2 minutes from the metro). Spanish wines & beers available with staff advice for inquiries... a repeat visit, for sure!!
I hosted a client here & the experience was excellent. The food was authentic & very tasty with the Paella being the highlight. The starters were also quite good & as authentically spanish as you can get in North America. In addition the service was professional. Overall 5/5, I wouldn't hesitate to come back for business or pleasure.
