Very cozy. We loved the live music. Great selection of import beers on tap. Food is fantastic. Try the curry fries. Wow!
Pub très bien situé sans être dans la même rue que de nombreux bars Très bon acceuil, personnel accueillant & dynamique très bon choix de boissons & plats
We visited Hurley's for the first time the other night. We were in the upstairs room where the Harris/Imbecile Debate was going on. The room was packed & a bit understaffed. Having said that the single bartender working was amazing. He managed to not only work the crowed bar, but he also took food orders & delivered them to people's tables- all with a relaxed smile. He was slammed for hours. It is for this reason I am giving them 5 stars. There was one waitress on duty, but she seemed to spend much time on socializing with tables, unaware of people wanting to place an order. The food was excellent & very reasonably priced & we will be back. It's an incredibly friendly place. Thank you
Wow, can't say enough about this pub. We were on a 25-day road trip through Canada. We spent 2 nights in Montreal. We always seek out Irish pubs, & we found a gem. We had dinner at Hurleys & as always, we sat at the bar, because that is the best way to meet the local folks. Our bartender, Sam was absolutely the best. We had met Sam earlier in the day when we stopped in for a cold beer. He was so welcoming, we decided to go back for dinner. The Best decision in Montreal. We met three truly amazing guys. Kristen, Rod & Michael. We talked for quite a while & enjoyed swapping stories. Though Sam was busy, he made sure he came over & joined in the fun. They all made us feel like we were old friends. We left that night knowing that we really did make new friends. so, If you are traveling through Montreal, stop by & see Sam, & make some new friends. John & Nancy Fetter Harlem, Georgia USA
Local IPA & lager were the recc of the bartender tonight. Great calls! Very cool venue. Lots of ambiance & unique spaces plus an outdoor patio in the back. Fantastic!
Erin is an absolute legend. 10/10 service, an excellent bartender. We had the best time here, great atmosphere, will make a point to return when visiting Montreal.
Great Irish bar, a little taste of home! Guinness was lovely & the atmosphere was top notch. Sara was the best serve
Sara & Amanda are truly amazing & we are big fans of them!! Great & freindly service. The atmosphere depends on the band (up or down stairs) & every once in a while there's a colorful character but those are the perils of downtown bars.
This is THE classic Irish pub in Montreal. Stone walls, proper pints, & Celtic music. Plus, the lively conversations around the bar.
A Montreal classic in every way. I hosted a party upstairs after a record-breaking Women's Hockey game at the Bell Center & Bill Hurley was so welcoming to all my guests. Always has the friendliest bar staff, a great atmosphere & you never want to leave!
Good spacious irish bar with knowledgeable barmen. Great live folk music too. 10/10
Such an old world feeling at this pub. Another landmark in Montreal. There are many nooks & crannies to find & kick back for great food & drink. You are most likely to meet some of the locals, & if you are lucky, you may even meet the owner, who creates a boon of hospitality. The bartenders & servers are fantastic! What are you waiting for!!
Came here on a busy weekend night. Great atmosphere for an Irish Pub. There was live fiddle music the night I went. Loved the music. I also came a couple times before this on less busy days. It was difficult for me & my friends to get the attention of the barman for drinks. I had ordered a pint of Murphy's. Unfortunately, it tasted incredibly sour - not at all what I'm used to since I order a Murphy's wherever it's available. I'm not sure if this means it was old, the lines weren't clean, etc. I was hoping to have a great stout since it's hard to come by in Montreal. Definitely has a great Irish feel. Maybe the sour pint was an isolated incident. I recommend the owners put more emphasis on quality control - particularly on the stouts, since how their poured, presented, & taste are important (at least to me) for an Irish pub.
Loved every moment I spent here for the week I was in Montreal! The manager/bartender Andrew was incredibly friendly, & he poured a perfect pint of Guiness every time! The ambience was amazing, everyone was having a great time & the live music was fantastic every time I walked in, & for the whole time I was there!
This bar feels like a confusing maze! It's pretty narrow &, if you don't get there early enough, you'll have trouble finding a seat. I ordered two rum & cokes & they were decent, but nothing special. I do not recommend the nachos.
Bartender was very friendly & down to earth. The atmosphere was super. The live music was fantastic! Best poutine I've eaten thus far in the city (housemade gravy, wow!). Thanks for the great evening!
