The pub was really nice, good drinks, good food & friendly stuff. One star less for the really underwhelming comedy show. Would have stayed longer but the show was really unbearable.
Transparency- We went to eat but the primary reason that Hurley's was selected was because the serve Murphys Irish Stout :). So, the beer was delicious 😋. The location us a bit of a labyrinth & the inside bar/service staff were really not much help, as a result had to guess our way to the back courtyard as we wanted to be outside but we made it. There is outdoor seating that is covered out front as well as all kinds of space inside to sit. The back courtyard was nice, more of a private, the staff outside were far batter than the inside, based on our experience. The pricing was very fair, drinks were good, small food menu when we went but good quality & plenty of food on the plate. 2 of us had the club sandwich which was served on sourdough bread (very good). It had real chicken breast as well as crispy bacon & a large serving if fries. The other two meals were the fish & chips (large portion & 1/2 pound of chicken wings which were covered in sauce. The wings were full wings & the slats were still attached to the drumstick, bbq sauce was tasy & came with a side of cut carrots & celery. There was a TV on out back & inside playing the FIFA World Cup games. Overall, we would go back, pint pours were done well, cocktails were very fairly priced food was decent & it did not break the bank! Cheers
Was in Montreal for the Canada & Ireland game, & at the recommendation of a local guy we took our self's to Hurley's , with about 5 others at the bar inside & a group of 6/8 outside, but Sorry guys the only thing Irish about this bar was the name, prices & few photos on the wall of irish GAA players, with also about 6 TV's on, all showing the same game & volume so high we moved to another side of the bar, which was equally as loud, we were shouting at each other, just crazy, so much so when our drink orders came down the bar man must have missed heard my order there was only 4 of us we had two pints of Guinness, even though I only ordered one, me thinking buy one get one free, (no such luck) didn't go to wast . Will we go back no, I will some day to issue a bill for hearing aids. Would i recommend to a fellow Irish person, No. , but that's just my opinion, ' sometimes if you don't want the answer, don't ask the question..
Stopped the music 25 minute before, the bartender, never served us until the very end to tell us our drink are too lomg to make. I'm a bartender. If you can't make 2 expresso martini plus 2 rum & coke in 20 minutes at least don't laugh at us & say that we are french people to your coworker like we are some sort of animal. Just say so & we'll be clever. Bald guy that worked on thursday 21
