Même si le staff, les proprios & les brasseurs sont mes amis, cet avis est 100 % honnête. Personne ne m'a demandé de l'écrire.
Bon, ceci étant dit…
J'ai commandé une poutine avec de la viande & des jalapenos en extra, mais j'ai volontairement laissé un coin intact pour goûter la recette classique : trois ingrédients seulement. Une recette simple que tout le monde connaît, difficile à rater… mais encore plus difficile à rendre iconique.
Eh bien, je le dis haut & fort : la poutine du Hop Station est, de loin, la meilleure que j'ai mangée de ma vie.
Pour les gens de Coaticook, on se souvient tous de LA sauce mythique qui a fait la réputation de la ville. Malheureusement, elle n'existe plus. Mais pourquoi vivre dans le passé? Il y a maintenant de la très bonne sauce à la Vieille Gare Hop Station & du fromage de Coaticook!.
& pour les touristes qui se demandent où goûter à ce plat emblématique du Québec, qu'on retrouve dans presque tous les restaurants, faites un détour par le Hop Station. Selon moi, c'est ici qu'on mange la meilleure poutine.
En prime, l'endroit est magnifique : une ambiance artistique, chaleureuse & bucolique. & comme bonus… ils brassent aussi d'excellentes bières!
