We found this restaurant randomly & went for Brunch. & let me tell you that their French toast is to die for . I really enjoyed every single bite & didn't want to finish it at all. Never ever had this amazing French toast.Voir plus

The food at holder is always amazing. We have gone 4 times & never missed a chance, but the last two times were upsetting, we were seated by one waiter she was very friendly took our order then we got switched to another waiter we had only appetizers, an we were talking an waiting....waiting.....then all of a sudden the waiter comes an asks us if we wanted our check we looked at each other an said um we never got our entrée? He looked confused & walked back to the computer. After another 25 minutes, we got our meals. I had ordered a cosmo, & it took him 15 minutes to bring it by that time. I was done eating & didn't want it. We ordered our desserts we waited again now they close at 9 but there was a party of 10 behind us which the waiter was very attentive on...... so we waited. The waiter just dropped the check without ever bringing our dessert or charging us for it, so we paid & left. we were very upset, service at holder should never be like that there standards an reputation are usually very very high .Voir plus

Delicious French food & excellent service. I enjoyed a duck confit that was incredibly moist & flavorful, with meat that melted in the mouth. The salad dressing, enhanced with white truffle, was outstanding. A slightly chilled white wine complemented the meal perfectly on a summer night. The crème brûlée was not overly sweet, boasting a very smooth & delicate texture. Great meal!Voir plus

J'ai trouvé le repas ordinaire, surtout considérant le prix. J'ai commandé l'ongle de boeuf aux échalotes confites - malheureusement il manquait de cohésion, de goût. Une petite sauce crème/beurre/jus aurait fait une belle différence. Pour un classique en groupe toutefois c'est un endroit qui plaira à plusieurs. Excellent service toutefois!Voir plus

First meal in Montreal & we loved it. Each dish was a hit with the person that selected it. My son can't stop raving about the Lobster ravioli! My youngest sampled the duck for the first time & fell in love. However, the star of the show was the molten butterscotch cake. We could have easily ate 3 more of them.Voir plus

Près de 10 expériences dans ce restaurant. Je garde un excellent souvenir des années 2014-2015. Plus les années passent, plus je reste mitigé &'sur ma faim' en quittant ce joli restaurant. Repas du 7 juillet 2024 : fish n chips quelconque, sans goût, fade. La mayonnaise qui accompagnait le plat formait une croûte sur le rebord du contenant. Frites acceptables. Second plat : le saumon accompagné d'une gigantesque portion de purée de pommes de terre. Je garde ce seul souvenir de mon repas : une surdose de purée acidulée. Mon voisin de table : un excellent plat de pâtes. Bon, enfin du bon. Ma voisine de table : une acceptable salade de mozza fraîche, d'une simplicité déconcertante. & la gaspacho? Je suis mitigé. La présentation des plats est très ordinaire. Je m'attendais à mieux. Depuis mes 4 ou 5 dernières visites chez Holder, je ne suis jamais sorti en me disant que le repas était délicieux. Dommage. Les plus chez Holder ; le service irréprochable des jeunes hommes, le décor spacieux & élégant & la carte des vins.Voir plus

To start, the ambiance & look of the restaurant are absolutely outstanding. & the service was fast & the staff were very kind & helpful. An excellent choice if you're looking to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. We opted to share the seafood paella, which was listed as a main, & it exceeded our expectations. The server recommended a spicy twist on the classic beef tartare, which was delightful. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the chicken paté, which was extraordinary. For our main courses, we enjoyed the hanger steak, braised beef, lobster ravioli, & duck confit. Each dish was exquisite & worth trying, but the lobster ravioli stood out as my personal favorite. A fine spot. The handmade pasta was quite nice, & they make a quality White Russian as far as I'm concerned. There was nothing too brilliant here, just competently made cuisine. The price seems a touch high here compared to some other nicer downtown options, but you will definitely leave satisfied.Voir plus
