Banh Mi Hoang Oanh on Saint-Laurent Boulevard is a go-to spot for amazing banh mi. The sandwiches are so affordable, very filling, & packed with flavor. I especially love their sesame bread, such a nice touch that makes it stand out. Definitely one of the best spots for a quick & satisfying meal.
Came here for two sandwiches on the 27-02-2026. Ordered the two sandwiches handed the lady my loyalty cards (two cards stabled back to back) one card was a free sandwich so she is supposed to remove that one card & replace it with another new card but decided to take both cards rip them up & hand me one new one. Now I lose the four stamps on the second card. I asked her about this but just brushed me off.
Her husband noticed this & was not happy.
I have been coming here for over a decade & now will never return.
Maybe the lady should keep to making sandwiches & leave the big boss stuff to her husband?

The perfect budget friendly travel lunch. We secured the curry tofu & soya tofu for our train ride home to Toronto. Both sandwiches were DELICIOUS! They held up well & were very filling. We will be returning! ❤?
okay so they give you loyalty cards right, if you're a true sandwich fanatic this is perfect.

Why the best Bahn Mi? No cucumbers in their baguette sandwiches, made fresh , perfectly priced cheaper than their competitors on the island, go ahead & pay 10$ for an over rated Bahn mi elsewhere, it's just stupid in my opinion.
Chinatown Montreal is absolutely thriving this spring! The area feels clean, vibrant, & safe, with a welcoming atmosphere day & night. I appreciated the visible security presence & how tidy the streets & storefronts were - it really enhances the experience of strolling through.
The food scene is outstanding. One of my favorite stops was Bánh Mì Hoàng Oanh - their Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches are packed with flavor, super fresh, & affordable. The crispy bread, savory meats, & pickled veggies make it a must-try spot.
Other highlights included pho at Pho Bang New York, delicious dim sum at Kam Fung, & classic Chinese dishes at Restaurant Beijing. Plus, the small shops around are full of charm, offering everything from traditional teas to Asian snacks.
Chinatown in spring 2025 is the perfect mix of great food, clean streets, & safe vibes. A must-visit for anyone in Montreal!
This sandwich shop makes the absolute most delicious Bánh mì in Montreal! Hands down. They have the freshest & most tasty shredded & grilled chicken options that you can get either spicy or not. The flavours are really out of this world. Their family run business is really friendly, fast, & efficient. I honestly can't say enough about how delicious their sandwich options are! They also have other traditional Vietnamese treats & food options that I'm sure are like a taste of home for those seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine. & I love that they only take cash & have one of the most loyal customer base in town! The best Bánh mì sandwiches I've ever had. I tried the Special variety, which includes pork ham & several types of meat, very rich in flavor. They also bake custom-made buns for their sandwiches, ensuring the most authentic taste. I'll definitely visit them again next time I'm in Montreal.
