I’ve been enjoying this delicious Vietnamese restaurant for over 20 years. The food is flavourful & delicious, the service is solid & staff is always friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody
I didn't like this place. I ordered the soup with pork & shrimp, the service was quite slow even though the place was not crowded. The soup was actually tasty but I was very disappointed to see it only had one shrimp in it ... only one! I wanted to talk to the waiter but he was nowhere to be found, didn't even come back to offer a refill or to simply ask if everything was okay. I spoke to the person at the cash register & explained how disappointed I was & why. He couldn't explain what had happened, said sorry & didn't charge for a tip which was pretty fair. I thanked him but also let him know I was never going back there.
Now, as I write this review I am quite shocked to see the way the restaurant responds to some bad reviews posted here & how they seem not to take any responsibility for the issues brought up by their clients. Instead, the person managing the restaurant's account just tries to turn around all events to blame them on the inconsiderate, negative, rude customers who dare post negative reviews because their expectations were not met. I'm looking forward to your response as in some of the previous low-rate reviews to instruct me on how "sometimes a little something, can avoid something else" (such as an honest review regarding what you're lacking). You really should stop fighting your clients, appreciate the feedback & improve your service.
Went here for dinner with daughter, she was recommended by her roommate who loves the food. Great recommendation, wonderful staff, delicious food!! I will definitely be back, with my sister!!
It's extremely hard to find good, authentic Vietnamese food in this city; let alone BANH XEO. I was so extremely excited to see it on the menu & knew it's what I wanted to eat. Portions were massive & the service was amazing. Highly recommend!!! Thanks so much!
Considering the large number of Pho restaurants in Montreal, you would think a great effort would be made to rise above the rest but not this one. The soup with pork & shrimp had one shrimp in it. The soup with beef lacked beef as well as noodles. After bringing us our food, we did not see the waiter again. Sorry, there are way too many options available to ever give this place a second chance. There is a Pho restaurant on Lacombe that is leaps & bounds ahead.
Ordered our favorite, bo la lot. Only 6 rolls & much smaller. Not enough rice cakes, not enough carrots, not enough cucumbers. & the kicker: much higher price (28$) now. I know inflation & all but come on now. I was still hungry.
A response to their response: we have asked for additional rice paper. Still not enough. As for the cucumbers & carrots, customers shouldn't have to ask for more of those in the first place. Based on past experience, it could be seen as "bothering" the staff too much with petty requests.
