THE BEST Vietnamese restaurants in Montreal.
I've been going there for over 30 years, & the quality has remained consistently excellent. It's a very simple, no-frills place, but the food speaks for itself.
Important tip: Go for their Mì Hoài H??ng, Bánh Xèo or explore the lesser known Vietnamese dishes in their menu. Their crispy noodle (Mì Xào Giòn) is especially outstanding.
What really sets this place apart is the variety. They offer a wide selection of Vietnamese dishes that you won't easily find elsewhere in Montreal, which makes it a great spot if you want to try something different beyond the usual options.
Service is also great-same staff for years, always welcoming, friendly, & smiling.
Overall, a true hidden gem & a must-try for anyone who loves REAL Vietnamese food.
My dad knows the owner - the chef - from their college days so we regularly visit for the authentic Vietnamese food for over 40 years already. The food & service never disappoints whether it's for a special occasion like celebrating a birthday or simply going out for dinner with family. As for the ambiance, c'est convivial. La musique n'est pas trop forte & tout le monde discute doucement.
Best authentic Vietnamese food, have been going here for 30 years. Order anything, you will enjoy the subtle flavours that linger long after you have completed your meal. Still the best place in Montreal.
One my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Have been going here with my family for years now!
Consistently delivers great Pho soup. Delicious broth. Tasty beef & noodles. Generous portions. Spring rolls are a great entree too.
Service is very friendly.
I would recommend this restaurant to any fans of Pho.
Many authentic Vietnamese specialties were served here, featuring dishes that aren't typically served by others. The food was delicious, the Bánh Xèo was a highlight. The Bánh ??p Th?t N??ng was a very substantial dish. The waitstaff was proficient & helpful. However, the seating was very confined.
Restaurant Hoai Huong is my go-to spot whenever I have relatives visiting - especially those with high standards & high expectations for authentic Vietnamese food. The food is consistently delicious, the flavors are true to tradition, & the service is always attentive & responsive. I've been coming here with my family for years, & everyone always leaves happy. Great job to the whole team!
Restaurant Hoai Huong is a Côte-des-Neiges staple for Vietnamese comfort food. The menu is loaded with classic dishes, & the space has a lively, buzzing energy that makes eating here feel fun & communal. Service is fast & efficient, even when the place is packed. I had the #17 pork with vermicelli- tender, flavorful, & perfectly balanced with herbs & crunch. My partner's #5 chicken pho was fragrant & soothing, with a broth that tasted lovingly made. We also shared a mango salad that was fresh, bright, & the perfect starter. Great food, great atmosphere, & a spot we'll definitely be coming back to.
The food was good & flavorful, the service was average. Overall a decent spot for Vietnamese cuisine.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Montreal. It's a family operation. They treat their customers very well with respect & humor. The food is good value, high quality. well presented & served.
Hoai Huong is me, my family & my friends' favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. Talking about authenticity, personally, I do love the food & would say that it's 85% authentic to what you can get when travelling to Vietnam, which is really high cause we're talking about Northeastern-America ingredients. I strongly recommend Salade vietnamienne (porc & crevettes) for appetizer & no-soup plates like the ones I've included, or even other rice dishes. We've come here many many times, the quality remains the same over years, the owner is kind & friendly (he speaks lotsss languages too, impressive!).
Authentic Vietnamese neighbourhood restaurant. They have been around forever so they know how to do it. Consistent & dependable. Lots of menu items you don't find elsewhere. Plus easy street parking. It can get quite busy, so reserve if you can.
This is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant when it comes to food & service. I've been coming here for decades & this place will always have a special place in my heart.
My friend & I ate here on Sunday night. The food was excellent, staff was accommodating & gave recommendations for someone who had never eaten Vietnamese food before. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. However, the Terrace, although small, is wheelchair accessible. If you like Vietnamese food & a casual atmosphere or you want to try it for the first time, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Still my favorite restaurant. Amazing fresh food, taste is fantastic! I've been coming here for over 25 years & no other Vietnamese restaurant compares.
Great traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Good portions, excellent quality. Waiters will answer all questions & make changes to the dish as you like. Been a regular for years.
I've been craving these exact nems (imperial rolls) for SO LONG & not just any imperial roll, I wanted these super deep fried Vietnamese imperial rolls & these EXCEEDED my expectations, which were high. Delish food, super friendly service, will be back for sure 👌👌
I had a lovely dinner with a group of friends at your restaurant recently. The food was delicious & authentic, especially the pho! The ambiance was great too. The only thing I would mention is that the pho portion size seemed a bit smaller compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Overall, it was a great experience & I'll definitely be back!
Authentic Vietnamese place that has been running over 30 years. This is for the authenticity & what you usually don't find at other Vietnamese restaurants. Worth it if you want to go deeper into the deep cuisine.
