One my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Have been going here with my family for years now!
Consistently delivers great Pho soup. Delicious broth. Tasty beef & noodles. Generous portions. Spring rolls are a great entree too.
Service is very friendly.
I would recommend this restaurant to any fans of Pho.
Hoai Huong is me, my family & my friends' favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. Talking about authenticity, personally, I do love the food & would say that it's 85% authentic to what you can get when travelling to Vietnam, which is really high cause we're talking about Northeastern-America ingredients. I strongly recommend Salade vietnamienne (porc & crevettes) for appetizer & no-soup plates like the ones I've included, or even other rice dishes. We've come here many many times, the quality remains the same over years, the owner is kind & friendly (he speaks lotsss languages too, impressive!).
Used to be one of my favorite place for Pho/soups
The quality went down, the soups have less taste(too much water?) & less meat/noodles quantity
Super nice, friendly staff, well trained for allergies. My coeliac wife had a delicious Tonkinoise soup, & I had one of the best Pad Thai I've had. There were no reactions at all, & everything was on point. Will come back for sure Also took gluten friendly Tonkinoise soup (beef & chicken) for takeout, & we even got gluten-free certified sauces.
We both ordered Combo F We really enjoyed the veggie soup starter. So fresh, light & tasty. The beef & shrimp were incredibly tasty & cooked to perfection. The imperial roll was a treat! The service was amazing. We felt warmly welcomed & cared for by at least 5 different staff. Parking wasn't a problem found a spot right in front on the street. There is a terrace out front if you wanted to eat al fresco (it was raining when we went ). The inside is tastefully decorated. Our critique is the chicken brochette. It lacked flavour, was tough & we thought it was pork to be honest. We would come back again, just wouldn't order chicken dishes. The restroom area could use a face lift:)
La soupe la plus délicieuse que j'ai jamais mangée & le meilleur service client qui soit, tout est très bien avec les gens qui dirigent les lieux.Super recommandé.
Best Authentic Vietnamese food in town! Simple! Staff is super friendly, remember since years my name, orders etc. If they're busy, & I need something, the place is small, cozy so I simply stand up & reach out to a waiter close to the cashier if needed. People are looking for Authentic food but want it done the American way! 😜 Go there, enjoy the meal & feel at home! Staff is super friendly! For the price, good food has a price! Still really affordable for the quality. My top choice, Combo C! Mom's choice, Midi Express with the little soup as an extra. See you soon guys! M.
I went with a Vietnamese friend. Food was approved by her as authentic, & I approved it as absolutely delicious! My favorite one was the soup, pho. This is exactly the soup you want to have in a winter day! The food came super fast, & they brought everything together. The food is not expensive & the place is small but cozy. There is parking right in front of the door. This is a must try!!!!!!!
I didn't like this place. I ordered the soup with pork & shrimp, the service was quite slow even though the place was not crowded. The soup was actually tasty but I was very disappointed to see it only had one shrimp in it ... only one! I wanted to talk to the waiter but he was nowhere to be found, didn't even come back to offer a refill or to simply ask if everything was okay. I spoke to the person at the cash register & explained how disappointed I was & why. He couldn't explain what had happened, said sorry & didn't charge for a tip which was pretty fair. I thanked him but also let him know I was never going back there.
Now, as I write this review I am quite shocked to see the way the restaurant responds to some bad reviews posted here & how they seem not to take any responsibility for the issues brought up by their clients. Instead, the person managing the restaurant's account just tries to turn around all events to blame them on the inconsiderate, negative, rude customers who dare post negative reviews because their expectations were not met. I'm looking forward to your response as in some of the previous low-rate reviews to instruct me on how "sometimes a little something, can avoid something else" (such as an honest review regarding what you're lacking). You really should stop fighting your clients, appreciate the feedback & improve your service.
Considering the large number of Pho restaurants in Montreal, you would think a great effort would be made to rise above the rest but not this one. The soup with pork & shrimp had one shrimp in it. The soup with beef lacked beef as well as noodles. After bringing us our food, we did not see the waiter again. Sorry, there are way too many options available to ever give this place a second chance. There is a Pho restaurant on Lacombe that is leaps & bounds ahead.

ma soupe lipton est meilleur que ça...les prix sont beaucoup trop élevé pour la qualité des plats. Au moins les bonbons qu'ils te donne à la sortie sont bon!
Great outdoor setting although a bit noisy (buses, trucks, cars). The humongous beef soup (similar a bit to Ramen) had everything in it & had to take half of it at home, but most of the ingredients were just thrown in uncooked (could have at least been blanched a bit) into a clear & very bland liquid that was supposed to be soup. Honestly, it was not really worth $9.50. Other friends at our table were quite pleased with their meals but squinted a bit at the prices. We will return, though.
