Anytime that we are in Montreal, we pick up a couple of bags of bagels. Well, my wife decided to bring home bagels from here instead of our usual spot (you know the one) & I have to say...these are superior & will be our regular stop.
They are a little chewier & a little more depth of flavor. THIS is how I remember bagels from when I was a kid living there.

Hands down the best bagel shop in Montreal! Been coming here for a few years & they never disappoint. The prices are really good & much more lower than the other bagel places I went to. The bagels are always fresh, chewy, & perfectly toasted. The staff is super friendly & they remember your order after just a couple visits. It feels like home! Highly recommend the smoked salmon & cream cheese combo, it's heavenly!

I stopped by Hansel & Bagel this morning, & it was everything I needed to start the day right. I had a delicious bagel sandwich the bagels were warm, soft, & perfectly fluffy, just how I like them! I ended up grabbing a dozen to take home because I couldn't resist. super fresh & satisfying.

Shoutout to the young man who helped me. He was super friendly & made the whole experience smooth & enjoyable. I'll definitely be back!

A lot of options of sweet it's impossible to leave hansel & bagel without taking something. They have a sweet interaction with clients & make them feel like home. Food wise I don't have to explain myself it's really tasty & filling. Everyone should try this place it is incredible!

the bagels are always fresh, chewy inside with the perfect crisp outside. you can taste the quality in every bite.

new ownership is great! staff is super nice & friendly. great service overall, easily a go-to spot for anybody looking for quality bagels.

Great bagels, but with new ownership, big change in service. From being friendly & accomodating , to now being rude & not customer friendly. Refused to honor a 5 month old gift card. I was told that the'previous ownership sold it even though they were selling the business & the new owners were not going to sell gift cards.' The sign still says Hansel & Bagels.

Bagels are always fresh. They have a wide assortment & some unique flavors like chocolate & cinnamon apple to choose from. Friendly & fast service. I also love their pastries.
