Hang Time Pizza draws a wide range of responses: some reviewers call the pizza amazing with a strong crust, solid sauce, and a vibe that feels friendly and lively; the staff and atmosphere are repeatedly praised. Others push back on value and consistency, finding the price steep for a single slice, the pizza oily or underwhelming, and toppings sparse or bland. Several comments compare styles, noting Detroit style can be hit or miss and some plates feel more like focaccia than true pizza, while others enjoy well balanced flavors and satisfying cheese. Delivery is described as decent with good crust and cheese, and wings receive praise in at least one note. A number of visitors describe the place as cute, quick, and easy to visit, with a few saying the atmosphere was dead or the service not as friendly as hoped, and a few others calling it the best place ever and expressing definite plans to return. Overall the thread shows Hang Time Pizza delivering standout moments and dependable bites for some, while for others the experience is marred by price, toppings, or consistency.
Gave it a couple chances but especially disappointing for the price of a single slice. I can't come back out encourage someone else unfortunately. Even staff doesn't give off friendly impression nor know their products.
As someone whose favourite is pizza whether Italian or New York/American style, this isn't it.
I waited a few years to do this review. Hang time pizza sometimes has nice staff & fresh pizza, but they have some creepy old dude working there who doesn't wash his hands & gives people old pizzas from a while ago. I went in once & he refused to give me a fresh slice of pizza & was rude & crazy. Do not support them anymore. Let them go. I ordered pizza from them twice recently & it was old, cold, & terrible. Had a stomach ache after both times. Big nope.
There's Detroit-style pizza, & then there's focaccia bread. Unfortunately, Hang Time falls into the latter category. Ordered a 12-inch veggie, Detroit-style, & was not really that impressed. Good sauce covering hardly any toppings, a bit of mozza, & a nice crust that seemed to have an undertaste of something, which I could not place. Came with a nasty piece of wax paper on top, which, when informed by the order taker, was to prevent the toppings from getting squashed. Trust me, there were barely any to begin with. Came with huge gobs of tomato sauce on top, something to consider if you like a less saucy slice.
Ok pizza, nothing special.
BEST PLACE EVER!! im def coming back the staff was so friendly & generous & genuinely interested in helping me. the atmosphere was great & i definitely recommend visiting! food was rly good as well
Food was ok but there wasn't a lot of choice for on the go, I ended up taking pepperoni which was ok…, service was good, quick & cordial, but atmosphere was dead, there wasn't nobody in that place it was sad. 2 slice of pizza & a drink 10$. Anyways L place
I'm guessing from Halifax doing a pozza crawl. This was my 2nd of the day, & the crawl, & it was good.
Thin, crispy, & a bit of a flop at the tip. The rate was good.
Ordered delivery from this pizza place, the 12in pizza was definitely a bit small for the price but cheese & crust was all very good, & amount of toppings was fair. Buffalo wings were sublime!
