Had a very pleasant experience overall. However, I was shocked & appalled when I saw the behaviour of a black man who bullied the waiters & spat on customers when I came to the restaurant yesterday. He loitered in the restaurant for almost two hours without ordering food & eventually became aggressive, when respectfully told to leave by the waiter. Everything became normal afterwards when police officers escorted him out of the premise. This type of behaviour by a man-child cannot be tolerated. If you can't behave in a civilized manner in society, then stay in your house. Nobody wants to have their experience ruined because of your personal lack of respect & civility. If you are the male waiter, props to you :) You handled the situation very well & you absolutely deserve a raise. Your service for our table was impeccable. I typically refrain from writing restaurant reviews, but Gyubee has truly earned an exception from me! As a picky eater, I found myself enjoying every dish they offered, from their premium meat selections to their fresh seafood & vegetables. Everything was delicious, but my personal favorites were the Miso-marinated pork belly & sweet potatoes.This experience is definitely worth both the money & the visit-a must-try gem in the heart of Montreal.View more

Came here & it was delish! I thought the meat cuts were really reasonable & the place was run efficiently. We did join a waitlist (which really helped). I definitley don't think you should come here without having joined that queue. The waiter was super nice but he had a lot of tables so sometimes It seemed hard to catch him. I've been to a few Kbbq & Jbbq places & I do think this place offers a good variety for its unlimited value. I would say the shrimp & squid aren't seasoned or marinated so heads up. But everything else tasted pretty great! The cone at the end was worth the imbalance of salt.View more

Ma récente visite au restaurant japonais de BBQ à volonté a été une excellente découverte. La qualité des aliments, notamment la viande, était remarquable, avec des marinades délicieuses. Le dessert: juste délicieux. Entre la crème brûlé & la savoureuse glace.🍦 Le service était également excellent, avec un personnel attentif & chaleureux. Merci beaucoup Liang pour l'excellent service. Just tried Gyubee recently. A superb AYCE, with superb service (efficient, attentive, educated) & amazing fun/festive atmosphere. As always, any great restaurant needs the great leadership of a manager on the floor & Gyubee has that as well: at some point, I kept ordering the same items over & over again. Discretely & without me asking for anything, the manager noticed that, he came to my table & gently helped me to add more fun to my choices. You rarely see such great leadership at restaurants nowadays. This was my first time trying Gyubee & it will not be the last.View more
