I was in this area of Montreal last week & I was craving some sushi, decided to stop in here on a whim & it turned out to be some of the best sushi l've had in a while!. Staff sat me right away & service was quick. The miso soup was so flavorful & was the perfect amount & their shrimp tempura roll was delicious as well, very filling. I would definitely come
back if I'm in the area again

I think this is the worst sushi restaurant, worse than the cheap sushi buffet restaurant! Food is not fresh, the taste is terrible, the grilled chicken is raw, & the beef sushi (actually tuna) is really special, Anyway, the sashimi is not fresh, while the cooked food is as fresh as if it was just taken out of the refrigerator.
Very good sushi. Bring the whole family here every week to enjoy the food. Thank you.

Absolutely loved our experience at Gyoka Izakaya Sushi Bar! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, & every dish was bursting with flavor. From the sashimi to the rolls, everything was beautifully presented & tasted amazing. Don't miss the black sesame ice cream - it's rich, creamy, & the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend!

Ever since I came back from months well spent in Japan, I've been looking for a sushi restaurant that brings me back & this was it. I come from the island every few days, the food is delicious, fish always fresh. The bluefin tuna is to die for & is prepared just how it is in Japan. I've been to many of the high-end sushi restaurants around Montreal, & this one is beats them all. I genuinely feel very lucky to have been recommended it.
