Got the smoked meat sandwich & the grilled salmon. There's 2 for the price of 1 on beer 🍻 during happy hours. The food was amazing ! Will be back again.View more
We had hot dogs, pepperoni poutine, smoked meat sandwich & a sub sandwich.
The sub sandwich took forever forever forever to come - the waitress apologized twice for the delay - so I wouldn't recommend ordering - it's just a big smoked meat sandwich anyway.
The smoke meat sandwich is deceptively small - the bread is like a fig leaf on the meat. Eat one for lunch & you don't need dinner. The meat was delicious & tender. Recommend.
The pepperoini poutine was really good. Very generous portions.View more
The club sandwich was very plain, but the portion sizes are great!View more
Nice service 👍
Good price👍
Very crowded
Very low quality steak sandwich.👎 You don't taste the meat, only taste was onion & onion juice.🥴
Not a good greek salad, just mixing sliced lettuce & tomato & cucumber without following a real recipe. 🫣View more
Typically, we visit the green spot for breakfast. However, on this visit we chose to go for lunch. I'm not sure if everyone's trying to make up for losses during covid, but to charge $9.75 for a BLT sandwich on White bread is just a bit excessive considering the majority of the sandwich was a large hunk of iceberg lettuce & 2 slices of bacon. Additionally, to charge $9.75 for a mini Poutine seems also a bit over the top.View more
This is the spot for a great Montreal Poutine. The best gravy in town! Sandwiches are great too, I usually take the smoked meat sandwich. Service is pretty good (although a bit slow at times because it's always super busy!) & the vibe is awesome! It takes you back to the good old days. Totally recommend.View more
I loved the pizza. The club sandwich is good too. The smoked meat. Yum. They cook very well. Not very expensiveView more
Classic Québécois diner serving wonderful poutine (27 varieties) & smoked meat sandwiches among other classic diner eats. The Classique is a perfect poutine with dark rich gravy & perfectly squeaky cheese curds. Best gravy in town. I would recommend the medium smoked meat sandwich also. A must visit when in Montréal.View more
I went to Greenspot last week for lunch. The place wasn't too crowded, the service was fast even tho a waiter forgot about me once & the plate was huge. I ordered the club sandwich which came with a LOT of fries, a cup of gravy, a nice portion of coleslaw along with a slice of pickle & marinated red pepper. The club sandwich was big, had lots of chicken, tomatoes, good lettuce & crispy bacon. My only complaint about the dish is that there wasn't enough mayo in the cup they gave me for the whole thing so at the end I was dipping the sandwich in the gravy. Oh & the meal came with a good chicken & noodles soup along with a coffee & dessert. I didn't have the dessert because I was very full after the soup & the meal. A first good experience.View more
View more

I am still questioning the proportion of bread to meat in a sandwich, everywhere in Montreal. But no questions on the great flavors in this place. Chips could have been better (read crispy) but the meats made it all good. Stopped for a brunch on the Canada day & it was worth the drive. 100% recommended.View more
View more

Caveat, we generally are not really into fast food, but we do like a good pastrami sandwich & wanted to try poutine, & love historic vintage places, so we decided to give Greenspot a try. The smoked meat sandwich & poutine were the best things we tried. I liked the squeaky cheese & the style of fries, both crispy & soft at the same time, but the gravy was a bit too salty. The smoked meat sandwich was stuffed with meat, like at Katz's Deli in New York & tasted great. The pizza which my son had oddly had the pepperoni under the cheese (maybe this is a Canadian thing). He enjoyed it. My daughter & husband shared a lasagna, but we were shocked to receive a massive family size portion with the lunch menu. But it was not great... There were dry inedible pasta edges, & parts where the pasta doesn't have sauce in between & it's just layers of cooked pasta stuck together. There were also a lot of whole cloves in the sauce for some reason, & my daughter hurt her tooth biting one. The minestrone soup that came with the lasagna was just average diner soup, possibly canned soup heated up. Overall, the meal was heavy & what you'd expect of an average diner. Not great but not awful. Also the lunch special was supposed to come with coffee & a dessert, which would have been way too much food, considering the massive portions, but I did notice that the waitress didn't bring it up & ask if we wanted it. On the plus side, it's cool to eat in a vintage diner, & I wish we had a coin to try the jukebox at the table. We didn't find out if they worked or not.View more
J'y retournerai sans hésiter !View more

Smoked meat just like I remembered from thirty years ago. GF had a Reuben hamburger, an interesting twist on a classic sandwichView more
Classic diner casse croute experience. Great club & hot chicken sandwich, friendly & prompt service, unbeatable price point.View more
Best poutine in the world. The smoked meat is excellent. The fries are some of the best in the univers. Club sandwich is 5 stars. Breakfast is the best in the city. Be careful, this place becomes addictive very quickly.View more
